Waking up in a body not his own, Anton Fowler navigates life in the surprisingly perilous land of Equestria, forced to contend with adults who treat him like the child he appears to be while learning the ins and outs of his new body and world.

With this unwanted life coming at the expense of the body's original owner, Gold March, Anton is determined to right such a seemingly irreversible wrong, using whatever means he can get his borrowed hooves on to fix it.

As this bold spanner throws himself into the works, the consequences leave a certain Princess to wonder if Discord has, in an uncharacteristic display of subtlety, discreetly escaped his stone prison.

Warning: This story and this description both contain spoilers for the Web Novel: Worm. If you don't want to be spoiled, read Worm first, then come back and read this. Also, this is an alternate timeline of my story Queen Weaver, diverging from it at Chapter 29. Read that before reading this, otherwise you'll be missing a lot of context.

The apocalypse had come at the hand of a god-like multidimensional alien entity. Taylor Hebert, a parahuman with power over bugs and bug-like things has her powers altered by a former enemy and subsequently uses morally questionable means to make everyone in existence with superpowers fight this evil deity, eventually defeating him.

This however came with a cost. Her mind was deteriorating as her power was subsuming her. Thus another cape decided it would be a mercy to put a pair of bullets in the back of her skull.

The Spirit of Harmony witnessed all of this. Grateful for Taylor's role in stopping this alien god and thus saving countless worlds and thus countless lives, the Spirit of Harmony decides to intervene. It brings Taylor to Equestria turning her into a Changeling Queen in the process.

After a long series of events over the course of just over a month, some of the Undersiders are pulled from Earth Bet to Equestria by the Spirit of Love, as one of Taylor's newborn children is undergoing the Crystalling Ceremony in the Crystal Empire.

Phil and his teammates might not be the legendary warriors Starlight Glimmer thought they were. But they're the only warriors Equestria will get.

Thorax leaves Pharynx to handle the finer points of negotiation with a pony diplomat who is, ironically, extremely undiplomatic. Everyone involved is given reason to regret this decision.
