One night Twilight was reading in her library, as usual. Then she hears a knock at the door, and goes to find Starswirl the bearded at the door with a present. The present is none other than a book. But this book is Starswil's first ever book, only, it wasn't really written by him.

Well, royal wizard’s life is not boring at all, I can tell. This is a secret for most of the ponies living, but what adventures we had! We fought dragons and timberwolves, the very Ursus Major was firstly defeated by us. We discovered hidden treasures - literally, rivers of gold, flickering seas of gems and jewellery, mostly everything that is now contained in the Canterlot treasury. We travelled beyond the known Equestria boundaries with a mission of retrieval the rarest plant in the world. Celestia’s personal finance assistant lost count of rooms exploded during experiments with uncalibrated spells.
No, I can’t say that we were bored, but when we were younger, we were less wise but more willing and powerful. Suddenly, we are not anymore and what we are left with is just lecturing to fillies and little meetups. It surely is more serene life than we used to have, but also less exciting, that we just didn’t manage to get used to. So we were making fun from gathering up from time to time in different places, exchanging news and discussing politics (though, you know, what politics is there in Equestria?). But even in such circumstances we were actually able to find some adventures… Probably not the funniest ones. So, now something pushes me to take my pen, spare a sheet or two of paper and lay a story down, a weird story with uncertain end. It bothered me for the whole time since it happened. Here it is...

In the style of the popular 1800s short stories, Sherlock Holmes, comes a series of adventures starring Starswirl the Bearded as the "Sherlock" archetype. Following him is Shining Armor in the role of Watson, allowing us to explore the thrilling world of Equestria through his journal entries!

(Note: this is not a crossover with Sherlock, or any spin-offs of that brand. This is simply in the style and personality of the original passages by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle but with many twists befitting the personalities of Starswirl and Shining Armor and the world of Equestria)

This does potentially give spoilers to Derpy and Carrot Top both 1 and 2. This is in the same story line but is not necessary to read if you just want to read Derpy and Carrot Top. Sorry for being late on posting this I had the first two chapters done at least five months ago but that is when my computer died, which is why there is going to be some bad graammar. Of a place to no alvail and life is seen not in the place of time. The rules of time are but placeholders for the universe. Ponies of old have atempted such acts, but still, time does prevale. That was... Until one little unicorn with a revenge plot changes it all! Time forebodes the end until the end comes. No thing in all of time and space can change the wall that is time. (Execpt for a little pony in a blue box). May all those who face time see the end and surly perish befor that time comes, and to all a story of the end that could have happened because of a little village and some unneeded inequality.
