Horse invasions continue, though they're accepted now and all is well. The human has invaded in return, after all. They have an arrangement. They don't particularly want to define it, but they do.

Then something slightly new happens. Only slightly, but still.

In the Canterlot City Public School system, Canterlot High School is considered especially peculiar. At CHS, one student who’s earned the school its infamy is named Sunset Shimmer.

This is her report card.

Nimbus Breeze would do anything for his daughter, including drop everything to visit her when he's informed she's adjusting poorly to boarding school. Unique amongst the pony tribes, earth ponies cannot scratch their own backs. They look with jealousy upon the pegasi with their articulate wings and unicorns with their magics. Rainbow Dash's late afternoon errand run is almost spoiled by a particular orange filly who finds her mentor and idol to be the perfect sleeping spot after a long day.

Sure, Dash could put her to bed, but why waste an opportunity for some quality time?

Now if only her friends would stop noticing what she's doing.
