This story is a sequel to Crowded house
Horse invasions continue, though they're accepted now and all is well. The human has invaded in return, after all. They have an arrangement. They don't particularly want to define it, but they do.
Then something slightly new happens. Only slightly, but still.
I am the gadfly of inspiration.
This is the most British summary ever written.
Definitely a housewarming gift from a clever relative. Mother, likely.
She absolutely knows what she just did, he's right.
This was great. Soothing and goofy and all-around a pleasure.
Oh? What do we have here? More chill, wholesome sun horse and man interactions?
Is this taking place at some particular point in the timeline?

Timeline? Place? Continuity?
S'what?
(For real though it's just meant to be a little after the last one.)
By the time I bother to sort my laundry, I'm already out of socks or nearly so.
I mean, you watched the show at some point in one of the previous ones. You know full well that she's referring to an assassination attempt, because that has happened before.
Well, it's not the bit about being able to casually shove around the sun. The show, which you have watched, made that pretty clear.
If nothing else, you aren't nearly large enough. You aren't a Yankee, after all.
Body hair is quite good at that, and she has enough of it to be confused for fur. Might actually cause problems with your drain later, all that alien horsehair.
And also, for that matter, slightly enormous. She's no mere pony, after all. She can look you in the eye standing up and she's a quadruped.
She can fly under her own power, so she's a lot lighter than something of her size should technically be. She still has the volume and awkward shape to make lifting nontrivial, but it's not absurd the way a Clydesdale would be.
This feels a bit too American. You still sort of have a reigning monarch, after all.
Yeah, the age gap is a problem.
"Tell me you've never seen my so-called guards in action without telling me you've seen my so-called guards in action."
Probably a reference to moving out of Everfree Castle on account of the bad memories therein.

Like we give a shit about the king...
Gasp! He has RETURNED!
Pretty cute stuff as always, hooray.

Fancy seeing you here.

I'm just looking through stories to find your name popping up for the ones that I find interesting lmao. Good day to you, even if it's through works you've happened to proofread a few years ago!
12176560
Oh my. Are you looking at one of Nyronus's works, or High Score?
12176562
Gasp! How'd you know!
The latter. Finishing it was a tragedy that I will never recover from.
12176565
I'm literally working on High Score right now, heh.

Nice to see your work again, Moron~!

Sure, but his mom was cool and most people should still remember her.
EDIT: There's a reason I only said you "sort of" have a reigning monarch, and it wasn't the lack of actual power.
Actually, I don't quite understand when people say that Cackling characters are British or that it's British humor exactly. anyone care to explain?
Tbh, to me the guy feels like someone on the autistic spectrum or neurodivergent person. It reminds me a lot of my own thought processes.
By the way, lovely mood as always: still love how all your characters have that weird sense of tone. Even when the guy is dense he seems so stoic about it that he doesn't seem so at all.
Glad to see you still writing! Great story as usual and I'm happy this series is still being updated. See your new chapter makes me want to go back and reread your other works again.
They're adorable.
I never get tired of the way you write Celestia.

I'll take a random crack at that. I'll make the wild guess when those somebodies are referencing British humour in general, there are likely referring to dry, deadpan, dark and often self deprecating aspects of that humour along with sarcasm and irony.

Thank you for your response! I guess it makes a lot more sense now, given the general characterization. It also contextualizes a lot of things I've read/heard about Terry Pratchet and his sense of humor.
Although the nature of your response (the first part, specifically) gives me the feeling that my question could have been a social mine in itself.
5 years in the making and it comes together.

Also where's the story where he goes to her place as it said the previous one was where Cadence made him breakfast?

Deliberately unwritten, for a lark.
Crow is happy for this shiny to be found today, your way of writing is a treat. CAW
