In order to let themselves rest after their previous Unity Quests, Sunny organizes the entire Mane 6 to go with Windy and Posey on the Trail Trotters camping trip, but as the others are beginning to enjoy the aspects of camping, the Unity Crystals summon them for another adventure.

This time, they reunite with Mystery Inc to visit the gang's old friend Eric, a student at a prestigious university, who needs their help after a monster called the Phantom Virus emerges from the video game he created about Mystery Inc’s earlier adventures. But as the group is about to capture the Phantom Virus, they are accidentally transported into the game itself!

Now, in order to escape and defeat the virus, the ponies must help the gang win all 10 levels of the game by finding boxes of Scooby Snacks on each level, filled with virtual villains from the gang’s most famous capers. Joining them in this adventure is a new friend, a magical wolf searching for her sister within cyber-space, and even the cyber doubles of Mystery Inc and the Mane 6!

But will they succeed and escape the game in one piece? Or will they be trapped in cyberspace forever?

On her way to work with her smoothie cart one morning, Sunny happens to bump into Sprout and notices that he's looking rather unhappy. Soon, she begins to feel like she's unintentionally forgotten all about him, and so has everypony else.

Determined to cheer Sprout up and make him happy again, Sunny convinces her friends to join with her to give Sprout a surprise birthday party. But they'll have to be quick, because Sprout's birthday is only a few days away!
