I posted my first chapter and of my first story!
This. My active reading journey has come to this. "Sixteen Ways To Defend A Walled City," by K.J. Parker.
After making several attempts to comprehend old-fashioned siege warfare, through various odd works of fantasy that feature sieges, various books covering historical wars, such as the Punic Wars between Rome and Carthage, and the videos of YouTube channels like "Shadiversity," it's finally come to this. A novel that is completely devoted to a city in a siege.
Welcome back, readers (and by extension, writers). It’s time for another Being a Better Writer post. The topic for this week? It’s another request, and an interesting, if complex, one. Today, we’re going to discuss how to write a scene of warfare. Not a shoot-out, or a simple fight, but a full-on war.
The three Call of Duty: Equestrian Warfare chapters I promised Raven Regios are complete and should be posted shortly. If you're at all interested to see how Call of Duty would play out in Equestria, give it a look. Next up, as promised... The Lawyer and The Unicorn, Chapter 15. Working title: "Client Compatibility." At least two major adult scenes, and one major surprise planned. 800 words written
The suggestion/poll board for the story "Call of Equestria: Modern Warfare" where you can cast your vote and determine the actions of the protagonist(s) and all other characters they interact with. Polls will be released whenever an important action or even occurs within the story that needs to be determined by the readers. Examples of such events will include:
1) Specific weapon pickups
2) To stray off in a different direction in order to find another way around an obstacle
Recently, I published a new story: The Glimmer Dilemma. It’s been in development hell for over a year now, but I finally got the story where I wanted it!
In the space of ten days, I've completed another three-story cycle of Five Star Service, The Lawyer and the Unicorn, and Rise of Firefly. New chapters were written and released for each in that time, and now I'm back at the cycle start again, on
So here it comes. My first blog ever. And what a blog indeed! The whole story itself may take too much time, so I’ll try to be short.
Are you familiar with such a thing as a fatal fault? When you see something and suddenly feel an urge to create — the same something but better. Without said fatal fault that festers the original concept and stops you from fully enjoying it.
Well, the next chapter is ready, still needs to be edited, but it requires a little bit of an explenation.
You see, I started writing an epilogue, but my brain put that on hold, and told me: "wait, bro. Before you get to this, you need one more chapter. Just a little bit more to explain some things."
X-Ray Visions by Clutch, on their album, Psychic Warfare. One of my all-time favourite bands! Just remember, kids, psychic warfare is real!
There was on thing I wanted to do this year, and it sucks that it had to be pushed back due to the virus being a major problem for everyone. I wanted to go and see a rock band named Clutch. Not many people will know them, I assume, but they are definitely a band deserving of fame. You'll probably know them from making an appearance on Bam Margera's (Jackass) series called Viva La Bam, where they performed The Mob Goes Wild during a custom sled race in the snowy mountains.
Hey folks. An update on writing progress and future works:
Hey folks...
Well folks...
Hard to do blog posts on my phone, but I'll persevere. Next up on the Firesight writing list is finishing off the next TLaTU chapter, and then...
