Because yes, I HAVE been working on it :)

So, I'm at that part of the fic where Sonata's talking about herself, and I kinda wanted to add a reference to Rainbow Rocks by having her describe a scene when she made a funny quip or something.

Then I realised... she's never made a funny quip beyond a response to someone's "nuh uh!" or "yuh huh!" Everything else she says isn't really "Wow, I should really share this with my date" material.

Guess I'll persevere though. I always do :)

If you're a reader of my story Lateral Movement, you might have noticed a comment I made a little while back wherein I confessed that I wasn't utilizing Sonata very much, in terms of her making use of her powers and abilities to their fullest extent. You know how much I love Sonata Dusk so much. Do you people think I'm loving her a little bit too much? I've always wondered that

To celerate Valentine's Day (or the last five minutes of it, according to my GMT Timezone) I thought I'd release the first few chapters of the Sonata Fic that I was working on, just to show that I'm still kicking, and to give those interested something to read post-Valentine's.

We're getting very close to the best chapter, folks, very close indeed!

I just want to get this off of my chest. Sonata Dusk is my waifu. And I don't care what anybody thinks.

I said I was gonna do a prequel, and I'm doing a prequel!

Set to contain lots of fluffy Sonata/Luna bonding, lots of backstory on the other mane five, and some unexpected twists!

Just finished my super-quick bout of inspiration featuring everyone's favorite siren.

At least I think she's everyone's favorite. If not, something's wrong.

I tried to think of something that makes it look like Adagio is actually more developed in screen time then Aria and Sonata. Anything.
I found nothing.
The Dazzlings are all on screen together, they all get a pretty decent amount of speaking lines and the only time Sonata isn't present is when Aria and Adagio head up to Trixie.
And yet, out of the three of them, there is one of them who is developed as a character so much more than the other two.
And no, it's not Adagio.

It's not going to be a long one--perhaps not longer than two chapters, and each chapter is also disjointed in that they can be stand-alone fics in themselves. The only unifying thread is that it involves Sonata, since the stories show how her life is with the Rainbooms. I've noticed that a majority of writers who tackle the Dazzlings past in the human world seem to believe that they are immortal and have survived for a very lengthy period of time.
