So far, it would seem No Man's Sky is optimized for no man's PC. Complaints abound about hitching, lag, and stuttering, even on current cards, myself included. NIVIDIA's driver's aren't due out until next week, some are also suggesting it was a recent Windows 10 update.
I'm gonna be patient with this one, wait for a patch or two, because when it's not hiccuping severely, it's damn beautiful.
Well, this morning, the PS4 patch dropped barely 10 minutes before I had to leave for work. I got it downloading and left for downtown.
Then as I was going on break, I realized the very real possibility that VR motion sickness would likely cripple me, and the next best thing would be trying it out on this 2k ultrawide. So I raced home on break and began downloading it on the PC as well.
Welp, won't have to worry about deciding what game to play on the 9th.
PC version of No Man's Sky delayed three days for worldwide release on the 12th.
No reason has been given, but I honestly don't care at this point. My mind's been glued on my vacation, and for all I know, this is Sony wanting to jizz over three days of exclusivity.
Yeehaw! I just got the game and have just got around to playing this sweet game. I didn't think I would ever be able to afford it, but I was able to.
Here are the videos into this brand new and amazing world.
There are only a few games on my radar as we approach fall. Halo 5, Star Wars Battlefront, and StarCraft II Legacy of the Void all have release dates or, in the case of Legacy, due out before 2015 ends.
But the game that is driving me mad the most is No Man's Sky, which still has no concrete, or even estimated release date, despite being showcased at both E3 2014 and 2015. I have been seriously itching to get my hands on it.
I just got No Man's Sky, really excited for that. I have seen gameplays and facts and shit. Its gonna be fun.
Ill upload a video of me playing once I can sneak five minutes onto the PS4.
I don't know what Hello Games did overnight, but my issues from yesterday are all but gone.
Where one minute, I'm enjoying a stunning night sky, with a beautiful meteor shower...
It's because:
1. No Man's Sky, currently installing.
2. I have been unable to resist the urge to write Digimon-related stuff, which probably won't get posted anywhere.
Thanks to Brady, there is now a "Guilmonosaur" roaming a tundra forest planet.
His reasoning?
"It's a dino and it looks cute."
If you ever play "No Man's Sky" and find a system named "Equestrian System System" (I screwed up, ok?) that contains a planet called "Everfree", well that's where I started. I named them.
How did everyone feel when Mass Effect: Andromeda and No Man's Sky were delayed?
I impulse buy things more than i need to. Food mostly, but I've been known to splurge on video games and books as well. I have to keep myself entertained.
I impulse bought Fallout 4. I liked Fallout 3 and Skyrim, so another Bethesda game seemed like an acceptable risk despite it being too shooter-focused for my liking. I like it enough to have sunk almost 200 hours into it despite my qualms.
So! In the wake of the No Man's Sky fiasco, namely it not being half the game it was promised to be, I find myself with 60 bucks in my steam wallet needing somewhere to go. And I figure some of you might be in the same situation. SO, in the spirit of that, I give you:
STUFF I BOUGHT WITH MY NO MAN'S SKY REFUND
Today's episode: Duskers!
I wholly expect to be staring at download progress bars for the rest of the night.
If you actually release it this time, Sony... And if it's as good as it was supposed to be all those years ago...
All will be forgiven...
If you pull this back into development hell... I don't know what I will say... But I will say it... And it will probably horribly offend everybody who hears it.
