Yes, I have a 1080, but I also have a 4th gen CPU, which I believe is my bottleneck when it comes to No Man's Sky. Unfortunately, upgrading to an 8th gen CPU would also mean a new motherboard and RAM; all in all totaling $1000. I'm not quite ready to do that yet, and today's purchase was half that amount.
Secondly, Sony's exclusives cannot be ignored. The Last of Us is still one of the greatest gaming experiences I have had, and I am immensely looking forward to Part II. I have heard nothing but good things about Horizon Zero Dawn, and it is something that wowed me when I saw the reveal at E3 2015.
Just because I'm part of the master race doesn't mean I don't want the best of all worlds if I can afford it.

Honestly I only got the Switch because of Breath of the Wild. Then Mario Odyssey came out. Those two alone are worth it.
