Tell Your Tale: Alicorn Issues · 3:22pm Jun 16th, 2022
So do you have any idea how hard it's going to be for us clop authors to do stories on Sunny from here on out and not have her climaxes be accompanied by glitter explosions?

...moving throughout the fandom is that Tell Your Tale was the only series that was explicitly confirmed to have been renewed through 2024, leading to speculation that Make Your Mark is going to be quietly shelved after Secrets of Starlight.
Now the big question: If true, is this the right move?
Well, let's approach this with some logic.
Make Your Mark:
Not much to report this week. I finally published a story that's been sitting in my files for a few weeks: Childhood's End, a WriteOff entry from the last pony short story round.
I've been accused of abusing dreams as a vehicle for storytelling. To this accusation, I say: you are correct. Dreams are the lazy author's way of inventing a fantastical scene that could never otherwise exist.
But damn me, I love writing them. They overflow with potential for story ideas.
Starbucks says that this is the Unicorn Frappucino. The largest size contains seventy-nine grams of sugar, about as much as a pint of Ben & Jerry's New York Super Fudge Chunk.
Starbucks can claim what it wants in terms of ingredients. My money's on actual pony blood. Specifically party pony blood.
Dearest Writer's Block,
Welcome back, readers! It’s Monday once again, and that means it is time for another Being a Better Writer post! But first, a bit of background.
So chances are pretty high that most people who followed me, did it because of my main story, The Legend of Friendship, which makes sense because it has the most views, reviews, etc. I guess most people who read through The Legend of Friendship someday try out the Equestria Girl stories too because it pretty much follows the same format. I just wanted to know how some people receive my custom stories or my OC's in general.
I'm bored and love me some good hoe stories.
Oh hey, I still have a blog thing here.
In any case, my tabletop gaming crew ran a one-shot of the Tales of Equestria RPG over the weekend. Was fun! The intro kit adventure was ... kind of oddly designed, almost like a Choose Your Own Adventure thing instead of a 'traditional' RPG supplement. Though at the same time, the adventure is also basically a dungeon crawl, just without the typical murderhobo violence. Just goofy good times all around.
To be honest it feels like all of my books are like:
or literally just “deep” and serious
and then you got the authors notes
and me as a person
idk how i manage to write this stuff as such a pinkie pie
So, the inexplicable little roll call sequence from the recent Tell Your Tale episodes assigns virtues to the G5 Mane Six.
Sunny has Hope, Zipp has Bravery, Misty has Heart, Hitch has Kindness, Izzy has Creativity, & Pipp has Confidence.
Even if you're not paying attention you will notice that Hitch's trait, Kindness, matches up with Fluttershy's Element of Harmony.
Ten years ago, a spin-off of an astronomically popular My Little Pony cartoon was debuted in the form of a movie.
After multiple movies, shorts, specials, choose-your-own-adventures, and one certain divisive comic with a nebulous place in the timeline at best, it's clear that Equestria Girls was given a ton of love from the folks behind it. Don't even get me started on the love it was given by the fandom!

Segue. I'm planning on remaking my Doctor Whooves fic from scratch. Because it's important to me, and I want to make it as good as it deserves.
Hopefully, however, I will be able to actually get to it this era. Not sure on any of the other stories I had ideas of making, however.
Yes! Being a Better Writer has returned to Monday!
Honestly, I think I just got lucky this week in not being called into work today, but even so, it feels good to be working on BaBW on a Monday again! This is the day when it's supposed to go down ... Well, up, technically.
Today is also the first day we'll be going off of Topic List IX! That's right, new list, new topics!
Which brings us to today's topic of choice: digging deeper with characters!
