Emotional Resonance vs Emotional Manipulation [Part Two]

We as storytellers have an agreement with our audience, to deliver what they came to expect.

When I compare Starfleet to Dragon Ball, that means I want them to be STRONG LIKE the guys on Dragon Ball. Because the space ponies and their allies train DRAGON BALL LIKE STYLE, compared to the Equestrians... it's like (Or rather I WANT IT LIKE)
Brainwashed: To like Starfleet and feel sorry for attacking his sister in the original version. In the updated version, he's "merely" sent to an insane asylum instead.
Incorrect.
In the initial story, he was not brainwashed, he was put into a magical fantasy to help show him things (A bit like forcing him to watch a movie) and he was sent to the asylum in BOTH versions.

Kamen Rider Ex-Aid Episode 9 – Beat Up The Dragon Live Reaction
We're still getting the special addition Movie War opening. And I will say: it's freaking WEIRD to Kamen Riders vs Pacman...
Anyway, the group cleaning up CR since the Secretary of Health is visiting. We find out that the Security of Heath's name is Dr. Kyotaro Hintata and he was the doctor that saved Emu's life in the opening to episode one. Nice call back and interesting to see.
Kamen Rider Ex-Aid Episode 12 – Christmas Special: Targeting the Silver X-mas Live Reaction
The episode begins with Emu meeting up with Kujo and apologizing for not trusting him...and asks about his other 'lie' about losing his friend, which he tells him and explains THAT is why he's investigating this: so his friend didn't die in vain. And Emu trusts him.
Kamen Rider Ex-Aid Episode 11 – Who Is The Black Kamen Rider Live Reaction
The episode begins by setting up Christmas...that's kinda interesting, normally Christmas episodes just kinda happen.
We also find out Emu's intern ship is nearly done. We also see one of his patients being discharged, Shuuhei. Despite being out of the hospital before Christmas, Shuuhei isn't happy and hates Christmas!...He's the Victim of the Week, huh?
Kamen Rider Ex-Aid Episode 10 – Uneven Doctors
We continue from where the last episode took off, which people being rushed to the ER in mass...which means covering it up isn't exactly going to be easy this time around.
Kagami rightfully panics because this is basically Zero Day 2.0. Which is exactly hat Kujo is thinking and does NOT want a repeat of that.
Emu rightfully assumes that defeating Graphite is the only way to stop this, but runs into Kyotaro on the way...

-In EQG: Sunset Shimmer Steals Twilight's crown hoping to use its power to takeover the human world, but she accidentally loses it. In SFH, it is similar when the Rainbow Rod is stolen by Saphira of the Crystalites, and in the ensuing chaos she also drops the rod and loses it in the human world.
So... I think I've finally broken through my stop on Chase the Wind... And I can't thank Sylvian enough for his invaluable assistance in this! 
Oddly enough, it only took a 15-minute brainstorm session Thursday night before both of us passed out to finally get me moving again...
I forgot about Friendship Games and haven't found the time to sit down and watch it. Shut up.
Also, sorry we're a little late tonight. Ring had to run and got back behind schedule.
So first and foremost, we've wrapped up part three of the Mykan thing. I don't know how much longer it goes on and don't care enough to check, but you're suffering through the whole thing anyway.
On that day... January 16, 2006... The single... MOST retarded, most ridiculous, outrageous episode in the history of cartoon aired, and changed the way I thought and felt about life forever...

Despite people don't listen, I may as well write it down so I don't have keep repeating myself.
In Starfleet, it's not that they don't BELIEVE in friendship, because they do, just not the way Twilight and Friends do. They don't believe friendship is a bad thing... they are all god friends, they lookout for one another, and team up in battles too...
...It's just that what they DO know, from experience, is that sometimes you can't always rely on it... or it just isn't enough.
Remember when I said I had done revisions on some stories? Well, I've finished. While some stories needed more TLC and updates than others, I'm proud to put forth the latest versions of a variety of my tales, now with much higher quality.
