    What is YOUR Definition...

    People often yak at me

    "Try better yourself"

    "Grow up"

    "Improve"

They say all that, but they don't provide actual definitions or explanations of what they mean by all that. It's like I'm supposed to guess what they want.

The same thing follows with fiction, when people whine and complain.

    "This sucks"

    "Write them In character"

Twilight Sparkle Improving Lives? (Friendship is Failure)

    People sure love to complain...

She always tries her best to get through to those with friendship problems and help them improve their lives, no matter how much they reject and act hostile towards her.

She gets disrespected a lot because she wants to help people, even though she's a princess who's saved Equestria on multiple occasions.

What will it Change? (Trying means Nothing!)

In relation to my previous blog, https://www.fimfiction.net/blog/1035717/i-have-to-or-you-just-want-me-to which relates to "Are you doing it for ME or YOURSELF?"

People still get up my back saying I need to "Get Help" "Change my groove" or, and the most often said "Fix your writing-- make it better/different"

I HAVE to, or you just WANT me to?

People often go about saying... "You HAVE to move on." "You HAVE to let go." "You HAVE to Improve" "You HAVE to this" "You HAVE to that."

But here's the real deal to consider. Do I really HAVE to, or do you just WANT me to? That's the ideal.

Starfleet to Dragon Ball · 2:43am Dec 17th, 2018

This is for Perky Ears to view, especially (This is not an attack)

When I compare Starfleet to Dragon Ball, that means I want them to be STRONG LIKE the guys on Dragon Ball. Because the space ponies and their allies train DRAGON BALL LIKE STYLE, compared to the Equestrians... it's like (Or rather I WANT IT LIKE)

Hercule is Rainbow Dash... Cell is Lightning Dawn. (Seriously Rainbow DOES act like Hercule sometimes)

Result: (2:07) Rainbow/Hercule gets knocked away-- Never had a chance. Even her Sonic Rainboom at 10x the power would hardly make Lightning flinch.

Or even here...

Spike is Pintar... Krysta is Krillin (Which is exactly what I portrayed in their death battle.)

Result... (3:16) Even Krysta's weakest punch would do to Spike what Krillin just did to Pintar-- SEND HIM SAILING!!!

I think that covers it... because of the differences in training, I always portray the Equestrians far too weak to have much of a chance (Hence why the Space fighters usually wish NOT to fight... due their unfair advantage.)

Besides, think about it... Twilight would never stand a chance against Goku and his chums, they'd flatten her in a heartbeat, and that's JUST how I do it for Deathbattles and Starfleet. Twilight may be a remarkable pony, but she's no match for the power of Starfleet.

Again these below are not attacks, they are what Perky Ears said, which I'm sure other people think... I'm merely just answering questions or so.

And that’s the reason why many people think of your Space Ponies as a race of Mary Sues. There’s being powerful and then there’s being so powerful that it becomes ridiculous.

Well that's pretty much what they do on Dragon Ball ALL the times-- they're strong... then they get ridiculously stronger and that's exactly what I wish to portray in my Starfleet's and Death Battles.

Despite the Lightning and Co. being supposedly so overpowered, nothing of this is shown in the fights with the villains.

That's because the villains Starfleet faces are ON THE SAME level as they are... they too are just as overpowered, and would be far too much for the Equestrians to handle without Starfleet power.

Also, Dragonball showed mindless destruction, and intensive murder. THIS is My Little Pony... Unless the fic is RATED M (Which is it not) I CAN give Lightning and Co such dreadful powers, but I must not let the destruction become so easy... gotta keep is POWER RANGER like friendly, and tone it DOWN just a little.

In Dragon Ball you get a feeling for their powers because you see the characters leveling whole mountains, cities and even planets.

Ah, but there has been destruction like that before, just not lots of it, as I had already said, I wish all that LEVELING MOUNTAINS and blowing up planets tuned down a bit (Not make them so easy) After all, if Starfleet is responsible for all that collateral damage, don't you think the people will be pissed with them? Even if the damage gets repaired, doing in the first place is wrong.

(Think Team America World Police) I will not have them doing that like reckless fools.

Or even on Power Rangers... surely you've seen buildings being blown up, or the zords FALLING on them and crushing them like cardboard. Surely people IN the buildings or around the area would have died. Which is why I have those magical barriers surround the homes and buildings to help AVOID such damages when danger is afoot.

But as I said, there HAVE been instances in the Starfleet Series where seriousness has happened.

Season 1:

-Lightning's birth planet, Harmonious (Shown in a flashback): Was invaded by the evil Serpentari and her legion of reptile drones. In search of the Star Stones to increase her already DBZ like strengths. When she couldn't find a Star Stone, she decided to destroy the planet so that they stone cannot be hidden there later. Lightning (Age 5) was thrown clear of the planet by his dying mother, and he watched helplessly as the planet blew up before his eyes and was gone forever!

-Elixis-- Titan's home planet (Shown in a flashback): Titan reveals long after he was exiled, and became the evil creature he was, he returned and brutally slaughtered all his people and destroyed the planet. Then he proceeded to obliterate whole star systems (Mentioned only) before he was sealed away by Grand Ruler.

-Elfaron: A planet run by elf like aliens who lived in peace, until their world was turned to waste by Serpentari, who intedned to destroyt he planet as well, and while Starfleet stopped her from destroying the planet, the waste was still left, and the planet doomed, but the people of Elfaron were safe, havign evacuated earlier, and decided to seek a new home world.

-Unicornicopia: When Titan was resurrecting himself, he released Discord form his stone prison, and proved to be ineffective against Discord's power. He transformed Discord into a huge demonic dragon and sent him to blast Unicornicopia to bits. The Dragon was too much, even for the empire to handle due to the sneak attack, so they all evacuated, and in the final bout, Discord was blasted hard by the remaining survivors, and crashed down on the planet as it exploded. Both Discord and the planet were gone.

-Equestria (Portrayed as a planet, not a country): When Super Nightmare Moon was returning, after spending years strengthening herself to have DBZ like strength. The first thing she did was rock the planet with a series of savage earthquakes as a way of testing her powers and taunting the people there. She never wanted to DESTROY Equestria, but RULE it. Eventually, she along with Titans minions easily overpowered all of Equestria's resources (The Elements of Harmony... The Four Princess... all completely useless) and took over the planet with an iron fist, changing it to NIGHTMARICA... a desolate wasteland planet where the creatures lived in slavery by Super Nightmare.

Nightmare's prior earthquakes had also badly shaken the planet up beyond anyone's notice, causing irreversible damage to the planets core, setting it to explode and take the planet with it in a matter of hours (Nothing could stop it) Plus, the supreme battles agianst Super Nightmare, and the resurected Titan was so intense, the planet itself began to crumple faster. In the end, Equestria exploded.

Though UNITED EQUESTRIA was formed by fusing the remains of Equestria and Unicornicopia, the devastation was still LIFE SCARRING.

-Esper/The Dark Planet/Planet RLX: Once a planet ruled by ancient monks that battled evil forces with energy channeling, but the wars evolved so badly the planet was turned into a desolate dark nightmare, THE DARK PLANET, which served as Titan and later, Chrysalis' homeworld of operations. After the villians defeats, the planet was cleaned up and converted into a luxury vacation planet... PLANET RLX.

-Season 7: Sienna, being ruthless as she was, whenever she was finished robbing a planet of it's treasures and valuables, she would then "Give them my usual thanks" proceeding to use her starship's lasers and BLAST the planet's surface, destroying mountains, forests, leveling fields, killing many, and those who survive live in poverty.

Season 8: While Stammadon hasn't really destroyed planets, he does planet to wipe out whole races he deems weak. Already, the Planet Ainzul is no longer the blissful world it was going to be, but all the people have fled, and the planet is shrouded in dark clouds, making it a practical wasteland.

-Season 4: In the initial timeline, the Dark King and his wicked forces QUITE LITERALLY had it all. Every planet, every star system, every galaxy in the entire universe was desolated-- worlds of ruin, destruction, and sheer darkness that ruled over all.

so there you have it...

In Dragon Ball you get a feeling for their powers because you see the characters leveling whole mountains, cities and even planets.

Same thing happens in Starfleet, just not as often, and it's tuned down a little to make it less adult rated, that's all.

But the fact is, I still treat the Space Ponies like Dragonball, in STRENGTH and in POWERS, and the villains they fight on the same level, making it not so easy to get rid of them.

That's all there is to it. Just becuase they don't show EVERYTHING that Dragonball does or as OFTEN as they do it, doesn't mean at all they are not that strong

The problem is see with your Hercules comparison is that Hercules doesn’t fight alongside the DBZ warriors. The Mane Six, on the other hand, regularly fighting alongside Lightning Dawn and Co. You also said that the villains are just as overpowered and they defiantly would hold back against the Mane Six. Yet we see the Mane Six fighting against them and actually putting up a decent fight. Therefore they can’t be as weak as Hercules. I think comparing them with Krillin would be better. He’s a strong and capable fighter yet far below the level of Piccolo or the Saiyajin. Yet, he still is able to put up a good fight even if outmatched.

I understand that you want to tone done the violence. After all this is a fic inspired by Power Rangers and other Super Sentai shows. They are usually more lighthearted not showing dead civilians and all fights between the Zords and the monsters seem to take place in the “abandoned building”-district. Still it clashes with the idea that these villains are so powerful. And since they are evil, they shouldn’t be holding back at all.

As for Starfleet, them holding back makes sense. They’re the good guys after all and don’t want to cause widespread destruction. That said, you can still show their powers without having them causing widespread destruction ala Team America. Take Superman for example: He uses his strength and power to protect not destroy. He prevents plans from crashing by catching them with his bare hands or lifts tons of rubble to rescues trapped people. Starfleet could do the same. Actively saving people from powerful villain attacks, walking through lava or doing other impossible feats.

Also Ainzul has been evacuated, right? Completely empty except for Stammadon and his minion? That would be a good place for an all-out battle. Yes, Starfleet don’t want to cause destruction but maybe the villain’s actions have already made the planet a barren wasteland and the heroes can’t hold back. They have to use all their powers to have a chance of winning. In the end they may succeeded but Ainzul may be gone, but Stammadon can no longer any anybody else. Then Starfleet could help the people of Ainzul to find a new home. Or you could say that the planet wasn’t completely destroyed but could be restored to its former glory even if it takes a long time.

So overall it would be really neat to see more of their strength. And it would be nice if you wouldn’t turn the Equestrians into such weaklings. :)
