    What is YOUR Definition...

    People often yak at me

    "Try better yourself"

    "Grow up"

    "Improve"

They say all that, but they don't provide actual definitions or explanations of what they mean by all that. It's like I'm supposed to guess what they want.

The same thing follows with fiction, when people whine and complain.

    "This sucks"

    "Write them In character"

Twilight Sparkle Improving Lives? (Friendship is Failure)

    People sure love to complain...

She always tries her best to get through to those with friendship problems and help them improve their lives, no matter how much they reject and act hostile towards her.

She gets disrespected a lot because she wants to help people, even though she's a princess who's saved Equestria on multiple occasions.

    Sentencing Characters (Dragnet Style)

As you know (Or some of you at least) The Writer is the one in charge. The Writer is the master. The Writer... is... God (Of the world the write anyway)

What will it Change? (Trying means Nothing!)

In relation to my previous blog, https://www.fimfiction.net/blog/1035717/i-have-to-or-you-just-want-me-to which relates to "Are you doing it for ME or YOURSELF?"

People still get up my back saying I need to "Get Help" "Change my groove" or, and the most often said "Fix your writing-- make it better/different"

I HAVE to, or you just WANT me to?

People often go about saying... "You HAVE to move on." "You HAVE to let go." "You HAVE to Improve" "You HAVE to this" "You HAVE to that."

But here's the real deal to consider. Do I really HAVE to, or do you just WANT me to? That's the ideal.

What is YOUR Definition... · 4:27am April 29th

People often yak at me

"Try better yourself"

"Grow up"

"Improve"

They say all that, but they don't provide actual definitions or explanations of what they mean by all that. It's like I'm supposed to guess what they want.

The same thing follows with fiction, when people whine and complain.

"This sucks"

"Write them In character"

But again, no proper definition or explanation to back it up or make it clear.

Saying things like "Write it good" or "You need to change." don't explain things at all, in fact, all it does say is that you are butthurt (Dissatisfied) with the way things are and you want them changed in a way that will make YOU Happy/Satisfied.

Everyone is like that (Myself included) We usually want what's best for ourselves rather than thinking about others or possibilities that could stem from it, but the main problem remains is you have to EXPLAIN yourself.

What do you mean by...

"Try better yourself"

"Grow up"

"Improve"

"This sucks"

"Write them In character"

...And you have to explain it thoroughly. You don't just say "He's out of character" or "He's too one-dimensional" basically you're just saying "I don't like it" without providing explanations on.

You also have to realize that people have different definitions, or ideas of what the above things mean.

YOU... don't like it when I make characters act OOC

Well... I... don't like it when they DO act in character. (Hence what Fanfiction is for-- TO ALTER THEM)

YOU SAY... Letting Go and Moving on (IE: Burying your past, insulting, and trying to think of it again) is the right thing to do.

I SAY... That is foolish, and I don't like that way of thinking.

YOU SAY... "This will make you a better person."

I SAY... "No it won't, and I don't want it."

The problem with most people is they feel that just because a ton of people may agree with their own definitions, that's "It's the way of the world." that's only slightly true and in only SOME cases, but not every single thing.

It's like Twilight Sparkle supposedly trying to "BETTER" other people's lives, with ways of her own philosophy and her own way of acting and thinking. While it may work for her, it may not the right thing for others. They don't like it, want it, or need it.

Twilight's definition of "BETTER"...

To some, it is the definition of "FATE WORSE THAN DEATH." (they really do not like Twilight's ideas, or her way of thinking or handling things. By subjecting them to Twilight's ways... you are condemning them to a life and ways of living they find unbearable."

So remember... You need to give proper definitions and explanations of what you feel is "Right" or "Wrong" about something, and then consider what your definition of "CHANGE FOR THE BETTER" is compared to theirs, because their idea is most likely different than yours.
