You guys follow me for nothing, and I feel pretty bad about it. So I'm writing a fic about my OCs.
Or at least about some of them.
Anyways! I finished chapter 1, but I'm not posting it yet, I wrote it in portuguese (Brazil, yay...), so I need to translate it first.
Also, there's guy who let me borrow his OC for the ride. Thanks BarkTree, Sarah is mentioned on the first chapter, she won't appear for a while, but she will sooner or later.

Now listen, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money."
Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow.
What is your life?
You are a mist that appears for a little while then vanishes.
Instead, you ought to say, "If it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that."
We had lots of fun, and even took some questions from our viewers! Come join us next Sunday! 1:30 PM PST!!!
This is Grammer a Week, the periodic blog program-thing where I soapbox about a grammar subject I find interesting. You might, too! This week's installment is about commonly confused words and whether they should be written as one or two. Onto vs. on to? Into vs. in to? Everyday vs. every day? There are dozens of these compound words that can either appear stuck together or separated by a space. Though some word pairs have the same meaning when stuck together, some are subtly different.
So yeah, things are going absolutely spectacularly for my writing life right now. In order, here's what happened over the weekend:
1. Memoirs of a Magic Earth Pony officially breached the 100,000 word barrier, which makes me so excited I think I might explode. That's over a year's worth of continual work and I'm damn proud I've gotten this far. Here's to 300,000 more! or however many it takes to detail Starswirl's life.
BAH, this next one is hard to do. I've spent at least 3 hours staring at this screen, but there's so much riding on this chapter that I can't seem to write anything without some inconsistencies. That said, i'm about 1000 words into it and I SHOULD be able to keep the daily posts going if I can finish it by tomorrow night (no that's not cheating <.<).
Well, my first year is over as a Fimfic author, and I did about 2 million words. Not bad, I think?
What will the next year bring for us?
Have you enjoyed the ride?
RB's Infamous Universe Rant
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
This is a projection of a spinning tesseract. Tesseracts have four dimensions. They do not not have four universes.
I am 10.5k words into a fic that's purely for self-gratification and yet I am:
200 words into the next chapter of Divine Intervention,
500 words into the next chapter of One and the Same Thing,
1783 words into the next chapter of A Packed Crowd, and
30 words into the next chapter of Compatibility
Why is inspiration such a dick to me...
Okay, I went through and I added up the number of words for each story. I'm going to say it's an estimated number of words because the stories I have listed aren't finished. So they might be longer or shorter give or take. It depends on how long each chapter is after I publish them.
So here they are and the ones that are listed as in progress now, the total estimated words is added in with the chapters that I have already published:
I was doing editing on my Endings collection, and I realized most of the formatting irregularities could be solved with a simple push of the button. And I somehow didn't notice this until nearly two years after the fact.
This is going to be a weird year.
Yep, we did that today. Total word count for the series: 1,001,106.
Here's to a million more?
Just think of all the typos we get to make together! All of this from a dare I made to myself to write a dirty self-insert, and the joke turned into a story that won't end.
You may have heard that I'm taking over for horizon with regards to Never the Final Word, his collection of story-continuing commentfics. If you haven't... well, I'm taking over for horizon on his collection of story-continuing commentfics.
As noted in comments of my last post, the gracious FanOfMostEverything has volunteered to take over the Never The Final Word commentfic anthology project I've maintained for years. The handoff has been completed, and now Volume 2 of the anthology is live!
I know. I know I've said this before, but it's coming along harder than I thought. My muse isn't flowing very well. However, I'm nearing the finishing line and I'm quite positive that if I focus, the story will be done within the next few days. Therefore, I'm making this final declaration. My new story will be out this Friday, no matter what. I promise.
I just hope that everyone enjoys it.
