Original Release Date: January 25th, 1961
Honestly my favorite Disney film from the 1960s
And of course the best diss track villain song of the last 40 years (because "Poor Unfortunate Souls" and "Be Prepared" still hold that rank as best ever)!
Okay, Selena Gomaz didn't have to go this hard, but she did and we love her for it!
Yes people. This is the 2 out of 2 movie for anniversaries today! This movie often gets overlooked and it's no wonder how it performed badly at the box office, yet became a HUGE seller with video sales! Forever a cult classic and still one of my favorite movies growing up.
Original Release Date: November 17, 1989
You all know what that means......
10th anniversary and 1st anniversary are both right around the corner
7 years of colored ponies that showed that it can be enjoyed by everyone, not just little girls. MLP FiM is such a great show.
Man. The story took a massive turn only four chapters in.
Original Aire Date: March 17th, 1997
(Yeah it was approx. 9 months before my birth, but whatever)
(Apparently the first broadcast! )
(The finale--11 years later.[2008])
(The miraculous return--4 years later [2012])
(The Return [2022 25th anniversary] )
Seven years ago today, I got married in the local Methodist church that performed my baptism as an adult. I have always felt at home there, and though fibro basically keeps me home-locked, my foundation is in the place that accepted a bisexual genderqueer Jew as the best woman, and applauded when my spouse and I sang Skullcrusher Mountain and My Beloved Monster and Me to each other at the reception.
Hey, guys! Since I know that I've gained a lot of followers since this time last year, I feel like I should recap something very inportant for me. For you see, this website has really helped me out a lot since I first joined back in 2013. It was through this site that I first began to write fanfiction, and gained a steady following of readers through my Magnum Opus romance series Brushed Away. It was also through this site that I was able to learn so much about myself, as well as the

Yeah people, I HAD to do this! It's still ICONIC (and funny)!

Today is my 11th anniversary here on Fimfiction.
This year, I crossed one million words written, and added nine new stories to my modest total of seventy-one.
As always, I'd like to thank all of you profusely from the bottom of my heart; without all of you, there's no reason to do this for eleven days, let alone eleven years.
Thanks for reading and thanks for being here. It means the absolute world to me.
Here's to all of you, and here's to 2023 and beyond.
Love,
Miles
...the one thing happened that made me write my first fimfiction story, Northland.
Damn.
I got a a really nice comment on it today and now I feel both happy and sad.
At my current pace the next chapter of Northland should be out at about May 2025.
Any of you who follow me may have gotten more notifications in the past week from me than you have all year. Sorry!
So.
Today marks my second anniversary publishing to Fimfic -- and, in light of the eventful after-party that was last year, this year was sleepover at an old friend's.
Last year was Whiplash, this year is La La Land. Same director, and you can feel that in the details, but different energy, different colours.
Anyway.
Yes you read that right. On September 2nd, 2001 the programming block for mature audiences (18+) that aired for a few hours on Cartoon Network at night is now 20. I genuinely forgot that I'm the same age as the Toonami block, but older than the Adult Swim block. Funny how that works out isn't it? Anyways, here's an old promo bumper for Adult Swim from late August 2001.
Original Aire Date: November 3rd, 2001
(Yes I know this was yesterday, I've been SUPER tired recently)
(The first theme song)
(The first episode)
Original Release Date: July 16th, 1993
(Yeah I knew it was a July release, but I couldn't remember when in July of '93).
Yes people. The movie that has cemented it's cult status and has basically become the entire identities of many a Gen Z and Millennial is apparently 30 now....feel free to feel old now.
I had to add this one and you know why!
Original Aire Date: November 20th, 1973
Not gonna lie, didn't know today was the 50th anniversary til legit 5 minutes ago. This is the result of me scrambling to find something about it on YT. Can't be denied...Snoopy and Woodstock make a mean Thanksgiving dinner (however unconventional it was)!
Honest question for all you animation fans out there: Out of curiosity (and in honor of a certain character's upcoming birthday / anniversary of a certain beloved franchise), when it comes to the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies shorts, what (if any) impact did it have on you, growing up?
What was it like for you, when you saw them for the first time?
Wow, it's almost been five whole years since I first uploaded my first ever chapter of a MLP Fanfic.... Dear god it has not aged well. But that's besides the point! In lieu of this milestone coming up, I'd once again like for your all to submit your ideas for what I should release on that date. I will have a little less then three weeks to write it, so I will need all votes in by this Saturday.
