    Completion!

Fleeting thing, that, completion. But occasionally, found. Another one finished. I've decided to put the bridge and the follow-up as separate fics, to preserve theme a it better.

    Updated

Just in case I'm not the only one who didn't see my update go, Part II of Heavenly Press is up. There will be a part III before the bridge.

Side note: anyone with some ideas for some other SFW Celestia muscly pics to use as a cover story for the follow up, I'd appreciate it a lot. Thanks for your time and your interest!

    Regarding editing

As has been the case with my other recent fics and chapters, this is self-edited, and if a lawyer who represents themselves has a fool for a client, an author who edits themselves does so blindly. If I've missed anything, please PM me; I'll try to correct. My apologies for the somewhat unchecked purpling of prose and muscling of bodies.

... okay, not that last one.

    Thoughts on Pressing Matters

At this point in my life, pressing matters are mainly health, and financial. Pain of the body, pain of the heart, and the pain of bills. But it does sadden me a bit that it's hard going even trying to self-edit further chapters of Hunting Season, a planned follow-up I'd started for that, Twilight's Thrones, and any of the other things I'd planned or started.

Seven Years · 10:49pm Aug 7th, 2016

Seven years ago today, I got married in the local Methodist church that performed my baptism as an adult. I have always felt at home there, and though fibro basically keeps me home-locked, my foundation is in the place that accepted a bisexual genderqueer Jew as the best woman, and applauded when my spouse and I sang Skullcrusher Mountain and My Beloved Monster and Me to each other at the reception.

My heart and soul is with the person who stood at the altar, my beloved spouse, and primary editor for Hunting Season and a bunch of the rest of my weird-ass writing. :) You're so tolerant of me and my madness, dear one.

We've spent all of today with me running Pathfinder's Wrath of the Righteous Adventure path campaign one on one for my spouse (who is playing a paladin and a cleric while I shuffle backup NPCs and two "PCs"-- conjuror and rogue)-- well, all but thirty minutes today when I was waking up and letting my pain medication take effect. Now, for our awesome anniversary dinner: mixed-ethnicity Asian buffet!

Yeah. Here's to seven more, to seventy-seven, to the end of our days, and hopefully beyond.

Woo hoo! :yay: Congrats on your anniversary, and may you have many more. Heck, I wish for you as many as my grandparents had. And I hope you really loved all that stuff you did and have tons of fun with what you're going to do.

Wow, you seem like one accomplished dude! Archaeologist, married... all you have to do is punch some Nazis and you might be Indiana Jones.

4141566 When I got my bachelor's degree, my mother gave me a stage whip and a fedora. I try not to punch people, though, snarling usually works. :)

4141731 You play PC games? Never knew that. I'm going to guess that you're all about sword-and-sorcery when it comes to your PC experience, yes?

4443749 Or science fiction; big fan of Beyond Earth, for example. Pretty much it has to be speculative-- S&S, Tolkienist fantasy, sci-fi, sci-fantasy, occult modern, superheroes, etc. I don't generally do "normal" unless it's on the sweeping Civ-level scale. :)

4443753 When it comes to science-fiction, what is your favorite piece of work within that genre?

4451478 I don't think I could name a single work. Lois McMaster Bujold's body of work should be considered at or above Heinlein's, for example; there's very little she's ever done that isn't exquisite. I'm a fond of Anne McCaffrey's work, though some of it shows its age. The Honorverse stories by David Weber fluctuate, but he's got some really good ones. Eric Flint is amazing; depending on how you define "science fiction", the Ring of Fire stuff and the Belisarius series are fantastic. There's a lot of great stuff out there. What do you like?

4451928 To be honest, I've read so many books that it's a wonder if I could even remember. Like most people, I was one of many who rode the wave of "Let's get kids reading again" through J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series (I had only ever gotten as far as "Goblet of Fire" and never read Years 5, 6 and 7). I'd read the last 3, but I haven't had the chance to read them due to lack of funds (that, and Ms. Rowling's recent outbursts on Twitter have not helped. I'm not turned off to the series, now. I can enjoy it, sure. Yet, I've decided to keep a safe distance away from all things Rowling-related).

There are many other books that I enjoy such as Dav Pilkey's Captain Underpants' series (which by the way has its own animated film, set to be released by Universal Pictures and its subsidiary, DreamWorks Animation in June of this year, as shown here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Captain_Underpants:_The_First_Epic_Movie).

I could list more books like Kenneth Oppel's Silverwing series. Namely, the 2nd book, Sunwing and so much more. But, it'd take too much time to mention, here.

With that out of the way, here's a list of what else I like:

-The classic 1929-1969 Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies shorts of Warner Bros.

-Tom and Jerry (the entire Bill Hanna and Joe Barbera run from 1940-1958, the 1963-1967 Chuck Jones run under Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and the more recent T & J projects made by Warner Bros as well as most MGM cartoons, in general).

-The classic shorts of Walter Lantz / Universal Pictures (i.e, Woody Woodpecker, Chilly Willy, etc.)

- Almost all shorts made under Paramount Pictures (From Betty Boop and Popeye the Sailor to the Puppetoon and Madcap Models shorts of George Pal) and yes, even the classic Mickey Mouse and Friends shorts by The Walt Disney Company.

There are some modern-day cartoons that I enjoy as well (Friendship Is Magic, very much included).

Those of you who watch Friendship Is Magic now may have grown up with shows like DuckTales, Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers, Tiny Toon Adventures, Animaniacs, Garfield and Friends and various other made-for-television animated shows of the late 1980s and the rest of the 1990s. That and any animated films made during the period.

When it comes to video games, I was (and still am, in some ways) a fan of all things SEGA. While I have played video games from other franchises by them like Virtua Fighter and Daytona USA, My absolute favorite of these franchises is none other than: Sonic the Hedgehog (I know, I know, I'm on a site dealing with MLP: FiM and I happen to enjoy a series of video games in which the main character often gets compared to Rainbow Dash, anyone who wants to make jokes about me being a Sonic fan, feel free to get it out of your system).

Much like FiM (since its debut on 10/10/2010), I've been a fan of The Blue Blur since his 6/23/1991 debut.

How about you, what else do you like?

4451928 Also, who would you say is your favorite superhero (or at least is there one who's adventures you've enjoyed)?
