Their income suddenly reduces to the point that they can only survive, but not share and not increase. How does the character react?

I've been trying to do my own MLP fanfic story of my own.
Earth to Equis: Equestrian Destiny
But I'm actually stuck on how to write the pony characters' behavior and actions.
My own character is basically myself, of course.
The cast of MLP get somehow changed into their characters.
So it starts on Earth, goes to Equis/Equestria and also goes into Fallout Equestria.
