I really don't want to blog about every single time I go back to rewatch season 2, yet in sticking with "only when I notice something new", I find myself doing so anyway. Well, so far. Today, I watched three episodes.
We're okay now. The storm has finally passed we didn't have to evacuate or anything. It was scary to think we were going to get hit by another hurricane. I'm just glad it's finally over.
My heart goes out to those who weren't so fortunate, and I hope they will overcome their hardships from the aftermath.
I am fine, I have face the trials and tribulations of Irma and live. My house is ok, a bit leaky here and there, but not terrible. I will start once more trying to write again as I get my live back in order, and relax from the ordeal. That being said the shelter I went to was nice, met a few nice people who made the visit pleasant and some less then pleasant people. The former out numbering the latter meant I would rate it pretty good. The meals they provided were pretty decent as well all

Hi, yes, I am still alive. The hurricane did not kill me.
It was... well, the second worst hurricane I've ever had go over anywhere I was living, and the worst one I've personally been there for.
((I slept through Katrina in a hotel in Kentucky. Which was fortunate. If I'd been at my home at the time... well...))
Not sure how many of you have been tracking Dorian in the Atlantic off the coast of Florida. Latest update shows it going up the east coast and not going inland.
Lotta rain and storm surge projected, but that's about it.
No school Tuesday. We'll see how things go.
Now that I've evacuated and am settled in, I think I should chime in on some of what I've been hearing at jammed gas stations and supply areas. I'm not one to just go up and start ragging on news stations, but from what I've seen, people need to keep calm despite what the news is telling you. I will be writing this to alleviate some concerns and explain a little of what the news ...for whatever reason, isn't talking about.
So, now that things are settling down from the hurricane, I should probably get back to writing Displaced Into Nothing. I'm not expecting to finish Chapter 6 for a while though: I haven't really been thinking about it since last Wednesday, when things started to get scary: when the state governor tells you "Get out now. You will not survive." and the other 4 people in the house insist that there won't even be a hurricane, you don't think about niche My Little Pony fanfiction.
Or at least she's predicted to do so over the next few days. Knowing how hurricanes have passed through the Carolinas in recent years, we're expecting Florence to weaken significantly once she makes landfall, and all we'll get is just several days of rain and some wind. However confidence does not negate preparedness -- contingencies are in place in the event Florence does pack a bigger punch than Gert and Bernie.
In Spanish, or at least here in Mexico, we have a saying that said "one bullet wound every trip". Well, for the last three groups, I lost a microwave oven with the first group, the fridge lost its gas with the second one, and a little after Hurricane Grace (I think), the third group comes in, and it turns out that one of the air conditioner units is tripping its circuit breaker. I'll be changing the circuit breaker tomorrow, but as my luck holds lately, that old a.c. has probably sung its swan
Act 2 prologue nearly done. Minus one minor section it’s content-complete, and the rest of the scenework has gone through multiple edit passes. Chapter will be content-complete tonight, edits will happen tonight and tomorrow morning, and I’ll post tomorrow afternoon.
Act 2 is going to be a hell of a ride.

Yesterday, Delta came, and didn't have time to bunker that hard my home, and couldn't bunker at all the other house (the house were I spent Wilma).
Hi everybody. I bit late, but I wanted to leave a quick post to say that Dorian has passed by, and everything is okay. Barely anything happened here. Honestly, it was seriously lucky that it veered away from Miami at the last minute.
Hey, all. I just wanted to post to apologize for not coming through on the stories I posted about in my last blog. Not only did I have writing assignments outside of pony I needed to focus on, I was also moving out of my dormitory. And today, twenty-four hours after leaving said dorm, I find out another hurricane is heading our way. Suffice to say, I've had other things on my mind. I'm not going to make any more promises about when I upload the next round of fics, given how generally hectic
The morning after I posted that, I put about half of my non-furniture belongings in my car and drove inland, far away from the evacuation zone, in an area that isn't expected to flood heavily. I'm now in a concrete block house with my drummer and his dad, which we've been preparing for the storm. I almost drove about 4 hours north, to where Frelania lives, but I wasn't sure I had the gas to make that safe. Getting a good night's sleep in a place where people weren't blowing it off did a good
You guys don't mind if I vent a little, do you? I'mma detail for you how much life sucks here right now, even though I'm one of the more fortunate ones.
Let me tell you guys a story all about how my life got flipped, turned upside down.
Just letting you all know that I'm fine. Harvey's come and gone and I escaped the worst effects of the storm. Nobody I know personally was displaced or flooded out, though a lot of folks here in Houston fared much worse. (And if you're able to and of a mind to, consider making a donation to help victims here and here. Totally your call, but you have my thanks if you do.
Soarin’s father was Wonderbolt Captain in the past. He was a firm stallion and still is. He was not easily impressed. He loves his son but doesn’t show it too much. It’s not like RD’s parents who celebrate every little thing she does. Neither of his parents were that way.
