1st anniversary of #BoycottBrunei · 12:26am Apr 3rd, 2020

On April 3, 2019, the Sultan of Brunei, Hassanal Bolkiah, announced the imposition of Sharia law. LGBT people there are punished through death by stoning, 40 lashes, and 10 years of imprisonment. It was widely condemned by the United Nations and many media outlets, calling it "medieval", "uncivilized", "inhumane", and "a return to the Stone Age".

Happy Birthday, Fred and George! · 11:27am Apr 1st, 2022

The Weasley Twins are the most accomplished pranksters in all the universes, likely because their very birthday falls on...April Fools Day! Let's honor these two by pulling some pranks of our own-who knows, maybe we'll even need a Puking Pastille or Wildfire Wiz-bang of their own invention!

Review: Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome (1985) · 6:05am Nov 25th, 2015

George Miller's third entry in his iconic Mad Max franchise is possibly the most unabashedly cheesy entry in the series, yet still manages to find its place among the likes of the far more visceral Mad Max, The Road Warrior, and Fury Road. In what was really the first properly budgeted Mad Max film, Miller, and his co-director George Ogilvie hype the franchise up to it's extremes, going bigger, louder and hammier, and in many ways, that's what gives it it's own, uniquely

R.I.P. George Floyd · 11:52am May 29th, 2020

I offer my condolence to his family and friends. His last words, "I can't breathe", are strongly reminiscent of Eric Garner's exact words before he died from being put in a chokehold. Firing the police officers is not enough. They need to be charged and face jail time for committing murder.

Salvation update and some fixes · 2:54pm Oct 10th, 2015

Hey folks,

Few things. First, you may have noticed that Salvation just updated. There are only two chapters remaining, and I expect to have them out by the end of the year.

Second, I just finished doing something unusual with Salvation -- I retconned it. When I started writing this story, three years ago, things were a lot different. Twilight was still a unicorn, the library tree still existed, there was no castle, there was no crystal empire, etc, etc.

A criminally underrated story. · 5:16pm Feb 24th, 2016

I am not one for slice of life stories primarily. I can say it directly. It isn't my cup of tea with some stories. Yet, every so often. I find these real gems, and the person writing them has a style that is immensely enjoyable. Keeping it Simple, is one of those stories. Its a mac centric story, and holy balls of hay is it something else. It's maybe a once a month update, but every update is amazing.

George Orwell fought in the Spanish Civil War · 12:49am Apr 19th, 2022

“Early in life I have noticed that no event is ever correctly reported in a newspaper, but in Spain, for the first time, I saw newspaper reports which did not bear any relation to the facts, not even the relationship which is implied in an ordinary lie. I saw great battles reported where there had been no fighting, and complete silence where hundreds of men had been killed. I saw troops who had fought bravely denounced as cowards and traitors, and others who had never seen a shot fired
