Well, the new chapter is out, after making you all wait for a very long time, and pretty much dragging out the hype as long as I could. But there are a few things that have changed and will change. The most important change is the title.
By next week, the title will be changed to Deadly Love.
My school district in Ohio finally decided to frickin' close for a snow day!! THIS IS HISTORY BEING MADE AT MY SCHOOL!!! WE NEVER CLOSE!!! But sadly it doesn't matter for me because I'm sick and can't do not a damn thing.... As if I was gonna go out side in the first place... I'm just so amazed that my school actually closed today. I hope any and all students and school staff on FiM who got a snow day as well stay warm and safe. Now, if you all will excuse me, I need some Chicken noodle
I should’ve known better than to plan a fanfic update so close to Valentine’s Day. 
For those of you not in the know, I work retail- in a card store no less- so as holidays get nearer, my free time shrinks. So I don’t have that chapter update of The Last Unicorn Princess ready, nor do I think I will be done by next weekend. I’ll try to post it before February ends.

Just wanted to pop in and let you know the next chapter of Welcome Home Soldier is arriving tomorrow. I can't believe it had been so long since the last chapter, and I am sorry. Things were going well in January, but so much have happened since then, and I simply could not find it in myself to write. Not that I did not want to, but I just didn't like what I wrote, and so I rewrote several times. 
I stumbled upon this fanfic a couple months ago, as it was recommended by a post from Seattle's Angels. It's a fairly decent fic, concise and well-rendered given its premise, but what struck me the most was how it opened itself up to the reader.
Here, in full, is the opening:
My wife and I have a ritual. It goes like this:
I tell the truth.
"I love you."
And then she lies.

I feel kind of like all that's happening lately is that my stories are collecting dislikes and negative attention.
Let me tell you a short story.
About nine months ago, I posted a terribly written story. Within a few days, it had two likes, and eight dislikes. One of those upvotes was from me, and I eventually took it down so I could rewrite it.

“Spiny! I found the obsidian you were asking for! Spiny?”

*gets up* “Sorry, sir. Didn’t see you there.” *looks up and squints* “Say, you’re one of those new recruits, aren’t ya? Scarab told me all about you! I’m Flutterwings. And you are?”
Back in October 2005, my driver, my maid and I were in a car, on our way to my school for Halloween party. In the middle of the road, a flash of light appeared right in front of us. Turns out it was a lightning strike, one of the close calls I've encountered in my life. If that lightning struck the car, we'd be goners for sure.

Hi everyone, it has come to my attention that, my first 2nd person fic, 800 Popularity Points Recieved, has 510 views. This, in my view, is a big accomplishment, knowing that people are stopping to read a story of mine. Now, I know that, a Sick Date, nearly has 500 views and has no dislikes.
But, still! My first 2nd person fic, nearly 1000?
Next thing I know, it'll get featured!

As far as chapters left to write in ‘MLP EG Forever’ go, I am officially in the single digits.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have passed 8.000 words!
It is going to be the longest chapter of the story, which means we are insanely close to hit 100.000 words in total! I am so excited about this, as it will mean it will be my longest story on this site. 
At any rate, I had imagined the chapter would hit 8.000, and I am in the ending line now, just finishing up. I hope the chapter will be released today, though if not, it will be tomorrow.
