Hello, everypony. As I wait for my latest epic to clear the editing phase (it's detailed in my previous blog), I've become extremely hooked on Persona 5 and would love to do a crossover story to keep the creative juices flowing until my editor finishes.
This episode was an interesting one. The description had me expecting a fairly boring episode that I'd watch, give a 3/5 to, and forget about fairly quickly. So really, it was a pleasant surprise that I enjoyed this one as much as I did. It was fun. 
Not much to talk about since there's not much to critique, but here are some thoughts:
It's winter again! For the second time this season!
Christmas at Halloween? What is this, Tim Burton's My Little Pony?
The Apples and the Pies are spending Hearth's Warming together.
Twilight is STILL giving Spike books as gifts! Didn't she learn like, back in season two?
Ah, the commercialization of Christmas. Even in Equestria...
And Applejack decides to recap the season two episode about Hearth's Warming Eve.
Oh... lord... just...
Oh my goodness! I just came—twice. This looks fucking magical! Time to ruin the video game industry with my pre-order.
And to add, this legendary multiplayer experience of a game is officially rated T for teen. I honestly don't care too much since ratings never affect a game. Some of my favorite games of all time are E, so there's that.
I suppose the ESRB's standards have lowered.
After watching the finale I have come to this conclusion.
Season 5 is the worst season to date.
While there were a few really good episodes too many where either badly written or wasted potential. This even applies to Friendship Games. SO much wasted potential there.
It's sad that I am more eager for fimfic stories updating then seeing the show.
All major retailers are now taking preorders.

Chapter 5 for TNQ is on its way! And apparently, we have a new ling on the hive! Derpy!

If everything goes according to plan, the new chapter should be up around Tuesday!

This last part is largely combat, and he's usually good at writing that quickly. Hopefully *cough* not likely *cough* he'll have it done before the end of the year.

I can see why people are so enamored with Sonata Dusk and Sunset now. 
So having finally watched the episode... it was pretty good. Not great, but pretty good, and really underlined how far Starlight and Twilight have yet to go.
