#5 Strange But True Facts (Deadly Poisons Edition) · 8:08pm Jul 11th, 2018

1. The human body contains traces of arsenic; the amount in the human body is safe, but if it were to increase (due to involuntarily consuming in food and water, which happens), this element can cause various illnesses, such as cancer, or even death.

2. The deadliest poison known to man is Polonium 210. This radioactive element is so volatile, it is 250,000 times more potent than hydrochloric cyanide.

3. The deadliest living thing on earth is widely considered as the infamous box jellyfish. Its neurotoxins can cause paralysis, brain hemorrhaging, and Irukandji syndrome, an anxiety condition that makes your brain think you're dying. Death from a box jellyfish can occur in under 5 minutes.

4. Drinking too much water can kill - just a few liters in a short period of time can cause Hyponatremia, a salt and water imbalance condition where cells absorb too much fluids and begin to explode. Death usually occurs when the neurons in the brain absorb too much water and the brain swells.

5. The deadliest mushroom is the death cap, which grows on 90% of earths solid surface. The toxins that restrict protein production and usage quickly cause organ failure, neurological damage, and extreme water loss through vomiting and diarrhea. Death cap can kill in as little as 24 hours.

Wow...those are some really terrifying facts:twilightoops:. I know about the arsenic and how much is injected into the body to kill someone, especially if it reaches the internal organs. I saw what it can do to a person and it is...not pretty so to speak:pinkiesick:.

As for the box jellyfish, that I have heard of to:raritywink:. I had watched a bit about it on Animal Planet when I was like, six years old at my grandmother's house, yet I have no idea what the name of the documentary was:twilightblush:.

Yikes....that's all terrifying.

I didn't know #2.

My favorite is the box jellyfish even if I knew that before.

This series is awesome

Either way, you still want the link:pinkiesmile:?
