but FYI, for a week starting sunday, I will be at summer camp, and all of my stories are (temporarily) on hold until This Saturday, when I will return home, and then stories will resume as normal.

So, it's been almost two weeks and not much has changed since I've released the story. While it was doing fine for the first half of the arc, it's becoming painfully clear to me that (almost) nobody is enjoying the story dispite me advertising it and while not perfect, it seems nobody is in the horror mood. Sadly, I had a lot of time off due to work and holidays and vacation and a few other things, including getting in touch with an old friend of mine.

The good news, as the title explains, I'm writing again! chapter 10 has only had a groundwork piece laid out, and is about halfway done, but it will likely need review and revising after consulting Silver. But at least you all know that it is forthcoming! Onward to the 100 upvotes for us both so we can into the Good HiE list possiblueities!
