TL: DR version: Things are going well, have been doing a ton of work, but don't have much to show for it yet.

So... bit mixed news.
I've barely touched the next chapter for a month now. 12450 words, 34 pages. Pretty much where it was last time I did one of these.
BUT, that's because I've hit the outline hard. Trying to make sure that when all is said and done, this Jackass stunt of a fan-fic lands on its feet in the end instead of on its face. That thing, 'Five last chapters, V2,' is currently 77 pages, and 19356 words. Written in a semi-scrip format as too let me 'prototype' things faster. An experiment that's so far worked really dang well, and is—admittedly to my eyes, showing some promise.
(Also, nearly done with my first draft of the Unicorn PI book I've mentioned! That one's a whooping 45451 words, over 165 (!) pages. 
Not even counting the whole heaping pile of notes. Very excited for it, and I hope it turns out well.)
(Also also, I've got the concept for another book I've been tapping away at. This one about the dragons coming back, via mass transformation/fusion/possession of humans. How would somebody react if they grew a prophet's caste mark one day, and a sizable scary group around you were adamant you need to follow that path? But, you know, in a form that's slightly more interesting and less likely to cause the resulting book to be burned in the streets. Currently very early, and sitting at 'only' 92 pages, and 24856 words.)
So... yeah.
Things are going pretty dang well, but I'm currently in that minor creative hell, wherein you're working like a demon but have next to nothing to show for it, because all your projects are these unassuming piles of parts on the workbenches that makes sense only to you.
Oh, and I also achieved Mun orbit in Kerbal Space Program for the first time. Recuse, clearly, my mind wasn't melting enough already. 
Still, some of you have been pretty frustrated with my silence—and I fully understand that—, so I hope this blog is at least a tiny bit illuminating what I've been up to lately.

Alas that one of my favorite stories is being written by a perfectionist, for now I must wait even longer for the promised spectacle!
All clowning aside, good to hear that you're still around.
I'll just keep waiting on the fic that'll never get finished. Alas poor SA, bumped back again by a newer, sexier fic.

Keep working on it i'll wait. In the mean time there is a really good ongoing Dresden Files Stargate fic to distract my self with as well as other things.
We've been waiting for Peace Talks for how long now? I think I can cut some slack to a fan-fic author.

Well, at least I'll have enough time to re-read what's here and refresh my memory.
That aside, I'm just glad this story is still on the back burner and hasn't fallen from the stove-top.
You could post half of that as a chapter ya know? My chapters sometimes are not even 1500 words long.
Just do a shorter chapter and publish something already.
