To All My Readers · 2:09am Nov 14th, 2015
For everyone who reads my stories here on Fimfiction, I'd like to apologize for not updating them as quickly as you, or I for that matter, would like. I've already mentioned in a few authors notes that my writing often times has to take a back seat to my school work, but now there's a something else on the board as well.
This afternoon I checked my pet cat into the vet's office. Her name is Roslin, and she's a nine year old tabby we adopted at six months. From the moment we brought her home she picked me out as Hers. She follows me all around our home, sits in my lap every time I sit down, and when I call she's never far away. If you listen to my brother's she's not really a cat, but a dog in one's body. She enjoys petting behind her ears, scratching at the base of her tail, laying in the sun, and late night mouse hunts. For nine years she's been my best furry friend, but recently her health has taken a down turn. She's been loosing weight for a few months now, and looks very malnourished. She barely eats, and does not use her litter box very often at all. The doctor said it could be anything from her kidneys to diabetes (she was a chunky thing for a few years). Other wise though she's still the same loving feline I've always known her to be. I know she's middle aged as far as cats go, but the way the Vet talked has set me down the endless spiral of worry.
I can't honestly say with confidence what's going to happen update wise for the next few weeks. For now my stories are being pushed to the back burner behind school and taking care of my little cat's health.
Till Next Time.
I know all too well how that goes. I've not been able to take in any other cats after mine passed away. Enjoy the time you have with your friend, life doesn't give you warnings and bad things happen all the time. You'll wish later you spent more time with them. So yeah, take your time. Keep them close.
Take all the time you need. And to be honest, the same thing happened with our kitty, and it turned out to be a thyroid condition that was easily treatable with some medication for the rest of her long life. I sincerely hope your kitty will be well.
