...power escalation in science fiction.
Sorry to drop this in everyone's feed, but I'm reaching out to Patreon supporter "A person of no importance"., uh... Joke being you're important enough that I needed to make a blog post to get your info... which you gave me, but I'm a spaz and Discord (the program, not the Lord of Chaos) ate it or something... Maybe Discord, the Lord of Chaos ate it, too... I dunno. So, PM me, will ya?
Well, it appears to be that special day that's been around for the past few years or so. A celebration of all things Star Wars, a day before a celebration of Mexican military prowess and an excuse to get drunk (but you can easily make any excuse for that). For this year, rather than remember it by chance while walking past my local Books-A-Million, I've started re-reading a Star Wars EU novel I haven't read in many years: a quaint little tome by the name of "The Truce at Bakura".
I was browsing Youtube, and I found this. As a fun experiment I invite everyone to take this simple test, and post your results here. Here’s mine:

Happy New Year everyone and like always a new edition of Retro Corner is available. On this edition, we take a look at a retro Star Wars title for the N64 that's based on a book called Shadows of the Empire. Back in 1996, the Nintendo 64 along with Mario 64, Killer Instinct Gold and other titles got released just in time for the holiday season. During the launch window was a Star Wars game called Shadows of the Empire that took place between Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Of
if you're a fan of star wars, and you happen to like my writing style, i actually wrote shattered roses before my stint in the desert. this is a one shot inspired by the show kenobi so please be aware there are spoilers.
Probably won't get any writing done this evening. I'll be busy crossing off something that's been on my bucket list for years:
See an original Star Wars film in theaters.
So, uh...the Star Wars sequels. Pretty hot button topic already. I'll admit to not being their biggest fan, but also not really their biggest detractor either. One of my critiques has been that the First Order ended up just being The Empire 2.0...but recently I did some thinking about them and even Palpatine's return in The Rise of Skywalker. And between the critiques that can be made about its overall handling, I think that there's actually a really good, and particularly resonant, lesson that
Hey guys,
Star wars. The movie is amazing. If you have not seen it yet, you should definitely go and see it, it will not disappoint.
Also, the special chapter for the Riftwalker may or may not be on time. Depending on how my inspiration goes, I hope I'll finish it on time to release it on Christmas together with Chapter 6 of The Shadow of Equestria.
Again, I wish you all happy holidays, and a lovely 2016.

A new edition of Retro Corner is up as I take a look at another Star Wars game from the Original Extended Universe. Dark Forces released in 1995 and developed by LucasArts takes place during the Original Trilogy. As I mentioned already, Disney's canon is absolute trash with its political agenda, crappy writing, and inconsistency in the plot. The only thing that could wash off the stench is the stories from the Original EU that was actually written with integrity and effort. That is

Let’s end this discussion once and for all.
It has been a debate for a long time when it should not be.
George Lucas has described Star Wars as a ‘Space Fantasy’
Just because something happens in space does not mean it is science fiction.
I got the original Battlefront 2 on my PS2 a week ago and have been having SO much fun with it. It's interesting how it was more focused on the Empire, I.E., how the Clones became Storm Troopers, over EA's 2nd Battlefront game. But I've had a lot of fun with this sequel, seeing it as an improvement over the 1st in many ways, though, I won't lie, it doesn't exactly hold up well, and that's not just for the graphics. Still, I've been having fun, and I've been brainstorming an idea for a
Disney shows it's "gratitude" to George Lucas by not inviting him to the premiere of Star Wars Episode 9: The Rise Of Skywalker. After all he is only the mere CREATOR of the Star Wars franchise. According to Disney George Lucas is not as important to Star Wars as other filmmakers like Spike Lee whose contribution to Star Wars is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING and Steven Spielberg whose sole contribution to Star Wars is the MISCASTING of Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo in Solo: A Star Wars Story. This speaks
Disney's Star Wars Episode 9: The Rise Of Skywalker is a confirmed box office flop. It has the lowest opening weekend for any Star Wars movie and it made alot less money in the second weekend. Also it is very curious that there are no action figures being made for this movie.
I just recently watched Disney's Star Wars Episode 9: The Rise Of Skywalker and it is a cringey, frustrating, poorly written, and nonsensical mess of a movie that is plagued with Death Star sized plotholes throughout the movie Here is some reviews from people who feel the same way about the movie that I do.
Here is some great news! Bob Iger resigned as the CEO of Disney after he helped kill the Star Wars franchise. His 14 year reign of political correct terror has come to an end when he resigned last week, surprising everyone. Hopefully this will bring some positive change to Disney. And yes currently Star wars Episode 9: The Rise Of Skywalker is at Number 21 at the box office. Why is that flop still in the theaters?
