Mariusioannesp Speculates Wildly: Predictions for Season 7, Equestria Girls, and Beyond! · 11:40pm Mar 11th, 2017
Greetings again, my Brony Brethren!
Greetings again, my Brony Brethren!
I gotta say, some of the ponies in these episodes need to be a little more straight forward without being mean about it, but sometimes you can be too direct, you know? Let me go into detail.
Parental Glideance-
(I had to make an acronym for the title since it's so long)
It Isn't the Mane Thing About You
While not the most necessary of episodes (not to mention having a rather confusing time paradox), it was still pretty entertaining all the way through. I liked the message, the humor was good, Rarity's mane looks fricking awesome. Look at it!
Long after these episodes have aired, I’m finally ready to talk about them! I feel like instead of rushing to catch up by doing three episodes at a time, I’m just going to focus on one at a time. Maybe I’ll be done by the time the new season airs. I hope so.
This week’s episode is: It Isn't the Mane Thing About You
Updating this blog every other week is definitely working better for me than every week, I think. I’ll still try to update every week- because giving myself an inch makes it easier to procrastinate- but I’ll forgive myself if things get too busy.
Warning: Spoilers for new episodes. Also, I decided to put two reviews for this one since I didn't have a whole lot to say about these episodes.
Hard to Say Anything
Synopsis
Spike accidentally invites Ember and Thorax to Ponyville on the same day! Confident that the two new leaders will not get along, he does all he can to keep them apart and cover the fact that the other is there.
Welcome to the AR-WR, (pronounced like 'hour') where I go on a Mountain Dew fueled rant about things Pony, and some'tings not pony.
This first Angry Right-Wing-Rant started out as a response to Temnizziv, asking me what I thought about this weekend's new episodes (Thanks a lot CANADA!) . But it kinda went on, so I figured I'd just make it a blog.
Fair warning: SPOILERS!

Synopsis
(Having a hard time finding one for this episode)
Apologies for the mega late post, I've been in Spain the past week.
Another Season 2 refugee, right down to The Stare coming back. Episode was meh, Meadowbrook is a thing from S5's premiere but might as well being entirely different because the backstory given here says nothing of her magic relics. And what we do get - a southern swamp witch doctor - is underwhelming.
First of all, I added the illustrations to The Last Unicorn Princess fic, so check them out if you’d like.
Secondly, I’d like to discuss another three really entertaining (to me) MLP episodes, so let’s get started on that!
There’s a reason humour is my highest priority in this show. A funny or cute episode with narrative inconsistencies, a predictable storyline, or flawed characterization is still a funny or cute episode, whereas a boring episode with zero inconsistencies, is still a boring episode. The wonderful “Parental Glideance” is a strong example of that, demonstrating how energy and charm can overpower even a weak moral, and while I can’t help but feel frustrated with the direction the moral took,
This is the story of me waking up on a Saturday morning excited to watch Season 6: Episode 27 of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Only to realize there was no such thing! Enjoy!
Warning: Spoilers from the latest episode, All Bottled Up, abound. Proceed with caution.
Sorry that I haven't uploaded in over a month now, I'm working on a side project at the moment and work is also taking up a pretty good portion of my life, please excuse the my absence. The side project I'm only letting a small handful of people look at to get their opinions and to ensure that this is possibly one of the best stories I've ever written. So hopefully my disappearance will be worth it in the end.
I'm only just now starting the seventh season (the last month of school has been busy as hell), and I literally have no one else to discuss these or watch these with, so let's go! (Obviously, this will be a long one.)
About the only family who hasn’t appeared this season. Scootaloo doesn’t count, she doesn’t have a family.
Warning: Season-wide spoilers abound. Proceed with caution.
