It was the best thing ever. Seriously, this was everything that made me fall in love with MLP. The last time we had anything this great was when Discord was a villain. My mind has been blown so thoroughly that I've lost the capacity to express emotion. In my head, I'm saying this in Maud's voice. If you haven't watched it yet, go do it. Like, right now.
In Monthly Writing Challenges, I have just announced the new for June: Shadowbolts AU. The idea was based off of this picture:

Last week's continuation of the Sonic-EqG saga is mercifully over.
This week is something we haven't done for a hot minute: an obscure crossover shuffle! You all love those, right?
Now the conclusion to this unexpected two part ep featuring the shorts for Friendship Games and all the insanity that ensues!
I fell behind a little. Time to play catch-up, starting with Equestria Girls 3.
Today's forecast: Flashy with a chance of character development.
"Love in a Flash"? Ladies and gents, we have a mild egotist and a hopeless romantic.
Edit: Best line of the short:
"You just projectiled science all over my chorus!"
I like Equestria Girls. Rainbow Rock's was awesome, and the first movie was okay. The last movie, however, wasn't very good. And I think I know why.
First a mini review of Friendship Games:
A little piece about the Shadowbolts using the theme for The Nexus. Two teams with lots of wasted potential.
Also this is my first actual PMV instead of just putting music to a scene. Hope you enjoy it!
Edit: Also I did this.
Name that character! For naming unnamed characters, obviously!
Ginger Owlseye Remember that creepy girl I blogged about last week? She has a fangroup!
It's a pun.
And now for something completely different

I'm going to take a break from my usual story rotation schedule for at least a couple weeks. There are two reasons for this. First, I think my prolific pace this year has finally been catching up with me a bit. I've been sensing a measure of burnout, particularly around writing clop. The next chapter of The Lawyer and The Unicorn is a major adult chapter, and I don't want to write it until I feel I can do it justice. Similarly, as happy as I was with the bulk of the last Five Star
I can feel the effort and quality control flowing forth.
Dreams as broken as those legs.
The ending of Friendship Games had to be the sweetest ending I've ever seen in a movie! Sunset and Twilight are adorable, you've gotta admit it.
For what's coming down the pipe. This may be the stupidest thing I've ever written—as such, it's only right that it be shared with all of you.
I have recently finished writing my latest story, Starry Skies: Shadowbolt Agent. It's still going to be a while until it all gets published, but I'm ready to start my next work. Two of the last three blog posts I made were about possible alternate universes. One based on Crystal Prep Academy, and the other with
For better or for worse.
Twigate is canon now, everyone go home!
Nah, just kidding. Still, this episode has me thoroughly nervoucited.
BUT ON TO THE IMPORTANT THING
...You were nice while you lasted
But yeah, assuming work and Zelda doesn't take away all my time, I hope to get another chapter of Gangs and Monsters out by the end of the month
Last week's extra-long shuffle is finally done. Hopefully the extra time helped.
We're finally at the end of that FUCKING Sonic crossover. With this, both of our multi-parters are officially over, leaving next month open for a proper anniversary celebration.
Even though most of y'all in North America are only just coming around to 2018 now, here in Japan it's already been 2018 for over 13 hours! And after I got over the hangover from last night's festivities, I thought now was as good a time as ever to let folks know that yes, I am alive and I have plans for the new year.
