The life lessons we learned this week:
-Cicadas are loud. This year is a rarity, multiple cicada broods have emerged, something that hasn't happened since 1803. The police are powerless to stop horny insects.
-Don't smuggle drugs of any kind. Drugs are bad. Mm-Kay? If you are going to smuggle drugs in your car, obey all the traffic laws so you don't get pulled over. Also: Holy shit! That's a lot of heroin!
It's been a long time in the making, but Cosmic Defiance chapter six is written, proofread (hopefully well), and uploaded. If you have just finished reading the chapter, great! I'll explain what I promised in the author's note at the end of the chapter. If not, great! Get to reading it if you've been anticipating it.....or if you're here for the blog post anyway, go ahead. I mean the story did start off as a lark inspired by the fellows from a hilarious thread in My Little Fetish and my own thoughts, 'I want to write something involving butts' and 'wouldn't it be nice to post a story at some point this week'.
A while ago, I posted a blog covering one of my unpublished stories; the ideas that spawned it, aspects of the writing process that did not work, and why I ultimately chose not to finish it.
Today, I hope to do the same with a different story. Each story presents its own challenges and eccentricities. Today’s story is different enough that I hope it will teach different lessons from the previous one.
