There's not much to really say about this one. 1,000 word stories are as short as this site allows, and while I can (and have!) gone into more words than that on the Mustang II, I don't think many folks here are reading this because they want to know all about unloved '70s cars.

It’s going to be draft complete by tonight at what I'm guessing will be somewhere around 11k words, at which point it's off to prereaders following one initial editing pass. But as so often happens in my writing, the chapter got too big for its wingboners and I couldn't put everything I wanted into it without doubling the length. I suppose I could do that, but as my general clopfic philosophy remains that heavy M-rated chapters should be careful not to do too much at once, the griffon chapters
Though I’ve been tempted in the past to do joke chapters of my more serious stories for April Fools Day, when it comes down to it, my writing talents simply don’t include effectively pulling off that kind of parody. But of more interest is the emergence of 17-year cicadas in my area. Big, ugly, red-eyed insects that are the size of your thumb but basically harmless, as long as you can get past all the shed skins they leave behind on leaves and the everpresent and disconcertly loud background sound they produce as a mating call. Lots of continuity in this issue, with Iron Will, Lightning Dust, Chrysalis, the Flim Flam brothers, Sombra's journal, and Radiant Hope from FIENDship #1. I am curious how Hope is still around, since she wasn't in the Empire when Sombra made it disappear.

The latest chapter release of Five Star Service was, by most measures, a success. It featured for a couple hours for the first time in perhaps a dozen chapters, and gained nine faves for it. However, it also picked up three downvotes, which never happened on a single chapter save the first. That's the problem with featuring; it gets your more notice but you risk more downvotes as well... and downvotes tend to affect your story rating much more than upvotes.
UPDATE 2016/04/22: Good news, everypony! Sony has stopped blocking our fan creations with the songs from the show on YouTube! Hasbro has stepped in for us!
