Update! Update! Yaaa

I have not found one as of yet, I do a lot of driving for my job, around 55000 miles a year so I listen to a lot of audio books. I have all the fallout equestria books I know of.
Nice. Another great chapter. Always enjoy when this updates
heh called it!
I guessed right on what that dream was!
Wow! What a tour de force! It took two days to read, but great galloping goddesses what a ride! Keep it up!
That was an epic chapter, and I like the pacing on the shrouded stallion. A lot of stories would just, pop look he can control it perfectly, but here that's just another great facet of the story learning to reason and control it. Thank you.
Famous last words
Who said this? Not sure if I missed something or not
Good point on that. With the vault dlc, those generators got a bit ridiculous with the power output that they gave. I mean did anyone else ever come even remotely close to using that amount? Or is it just me that has not.
Sorry seemed appropriate by my own foreshadowing
While reading this part I couldn't help but think of Rivit City and speaking of that am I the only one thinking how amazing it would be if you had the option to somehow fix that aircraft carrier? That would have been awesome.
Aaaaannnnddd the shoe falls or hoof...I guess
Wonder if she would still that way if she met the Mad Titan

I think we know everyone else's opinion on an individual like him, but I have to wonder if even Jade could be forgiving.
Not just your Gramp's Fast, Moebius in Old world Blues probably does the same stuff, although maybe the others of the "Think Tank" might be more prone to it instead.
Just starting playing through that again, somewhat because of this story reminding me of it and also to help with ideas/planning my own story out. And I have to say your version of them seem so much smarter. I mean I sorta felt pulling my hair out just listening to their idiocy this time through and the last time now that I think about
(Sorry long jabbering there)
Seems like he took some pointers from Vladimir
But perhaps not done the same way as in this movie version.
If that didn't get the attention of a certain giant purple Alicorn I don't know what will.
Good to know she is still alive
Unless this is some sort of dreamscape and she's gone
Reminds me when I had to comfort a friend awhile back that seemed to have self-esteem problems. I myself have that too at times.
HHHEEERRRREEEE'SS SWAN
I'm guessing
Well it kinda works
Was hoping for just the clip of him saying it
Anyone else think Longfellow would give Swan the name of this chapter to replace the Fogcrawler on Fog Harbor? Cause I am.
Watch out for the damn crabs
Not positive if I have said this before, I'm not good at keeping track of my comments when I make them miles long, but these two seem to have a relationship like Eddie and Venom.
That's just my view though.
Well... it was nice knowing you Fast when you were still done, but putting this off is most assuredly not help you keep it.
Did you write this during Thanksgiving?
Cause it seems like it
Guess that answers my previous statement
Definitely the longest chapter that I can see and most definitely a great one!
I look forward to more.
And if you wouldn't mind indulging my curiosity (and any others who are reading the story and going through comments are welcome to answer this question as well)
I was just curious on your opinion on the whole "humans in Equestria" stories whether they're Fallout or other crossovers. I know many don't care for them and I'm just curious as to why.
Again a lovely read and nice to see some closure for Witchy.
I like the long chapters, good for development and breaks the cycle of repition. Don't wanna get stuck using a script for the story, and stuff like this helps a ton! Can't wait for the next chapter as always! 😀
Fallout 76 is out so you can get a head start on a book for that seeing that you got fo4

Does that game even gave a plot?
Every game has a plot other wise you can’t call it a game it would just be a husk of a sandbox
The game isint explained as well as it could be which leaves a lot to the imagination for plots and stories
Other fallout creators turned something that was a idea into a reality and caused an entire new line only fan fiction to spread from it some good some bad but all are stories knowledge may not be easy to find in some but there is knowledge there you just might not see it same goes for plots.
Well too bad all the Theastrals from Dreadnought all not joining the team.

To be fair, raiders buchter people, then proceed to use them as decorations

But I see your point
Combat scene aboard the EMS Dreadnot.
... 'Scanning around him in a rush, I followed the Admiral's wide-eyed gaze to the remote sliding across the deck, getting lost in a sea of unsteady hooves trying for the air. His decision to go after it was a little forced when the buck helping him up was vaporized in a cloud of sparkling red ash, a string of more red beams scorching the steel plating at the Admiral's hooves as he galloped off to escape the screeching griffon diving to the deck.
Val lobbed a series of 25mm grenades into the crowd and looked between Witchy and I with a manic glint in her eye, quickly taking in the situation, she swooped down and snagged the sliding pile of Witchy's gear, then went for the visible lock on Witchy's shackles at my urging. "Didn't think we left ya, did ya boss!? Gonna tan yer hide for sendin' us out first though asshole! Just you wait, c'mere batty, yer prick friends are great at makin' guns, but their locks are for shit."...'
As you can see, Valkyrie is tossing grenades, but such tiny ones! I mean really?? 25mm grenades? ONE INCH diameter grenades? Something that small would barely pose a threat to someone in body armor today, let alone the kind of armor described for the crew of that ship! Now, 40mm grenades or even standard, hand-thrown grenades... hell, even old German 'Potato Masher' style grenades would be FAR more lethal.
To give you an idea of how lethal... a mental image might help. A 25mm grenade would be an itty bitty firecracker next to a Potato Masher's quarter stick of Dynamite. Let alone a WWII, or Modern Hand Grenade's lethal spray of shrapnel. Another mental image to compare... a 25mm grenade is about as wide as the average person's thumb, perhaps a bit less... While a modern hand grenade is the size of a person's fist. You can see why the Hand Grenade would be more lethal just on the factor of SIZE, and that's not factoring in the fact that a modern hand grenade's explosive is FAR more 'explosive' than the 'improved' TNT used in WWII hand grenades. In fact, WWII hand grenades used Compound 1. And during the war in Viet-Nam, Compound 4 was the 'way to go' in explosives at the time, while Modern Grenades of all types now use Compound 5, and there is experimentation using a further development in explosive that should end up being designated as C-6, or Compound 6. Each version of the Compound being in the area of 50 to 75% more explosive than the previous type. This means that a current hand grenade has at least six times the explosive force of the same sized amount of TNT. Even if Val's grenades were C-6 (which I doubt, since the explosive would vaporize the shrapnel before it could be impelled away from the ignition source), the relative tiny-ness of the item itself would result in FAR less fragments radiating out to do any damage at all, even though they would be traveling far faster.
Please! Fix your Grenades oh Crazy One! A modern hand grenade has at least the explosive power of several sticks of the old TNT while being a fragment of the volume! And, the larger housing allows for thousands of more fragments (compared to such a tiny 'grenade') hurtling off in a spherical front from the detonation at higher speeds than TNT or earlier versions of the Compound mixtures would allow.
If Val is using hand grenades, one does not need to specify the size. They would be hand sized. About as large as a professional baseball, but FAR more lethal than even those used in WWII, let alone something the size of your thumb!
I am sorry to rant and rave, but seeing weapons misused, or their effects being blown out of proportion upsets the Weapons Instructor I was trained to be by the Marine Corps.
I am sorry.
the Frank Pony
Immediately thought of this scene, where Frank informs that CIA assassin that he trained the guy that trained him:
Those arrogant asshats looked down their noses at these ghouls, and have catastrophically failed to realize that many of these Thestral Ghouls probably trained their great great grandparents in the arts of warfare; and they have actual combat experience on top of that.
Yeah, not only did they leave with a hell of a lot more than some bolts or fuses, the Dreadnot is now in far worse shape than anything the end of the world ever did to it. Having virtually all of its weapon mounts blown apart would be bad enough, but getting bucked right over on its side like that on dry land cannot have been good for whatever is left of that poor ship's spine. Even if they patch the hull and manage to right it again somehow, damage to a ship's spine can be disastrous to the ship's structural integrity.
I have a theory, and I’m surprised no one else has mentioned it. I’m a far less observant reader than several others (I’m here for the ride, not for speculation), so I’m surprised no one brought it up. Well, someone might’ve, but I digress.
So, Zed has made his point about Fast never compromising with the spirits in his head. I think I know the reason, I believe that every time Fast tries to compromise, cooperate, or otherwise let it take control, the spirit in his head’s hold grows stronger. Notice, after he used the Shrouded Stallion ‘schizophrenic personality’ (I’m calling it as such), at Ruby’s dig site, he starts doing suspected sleepwalking and murders. Likewise, when he tries to cooperate with it here, his voices give him a splitting headache (and notably, the headaches are getting progressively worse) and are almost overpowering the Ministry Mares. I think this is because if we use this idea of a ‘stasis pod’ holding the Shroud’s voice back, every time Fast opens it, some of that dark residue takes roost in other parts of his ‘mind Stable’. The dark residue obviously doesn’t want to return to the ‘stasis pod’, so it slowly fills up more of his mind and starts taking more and more control. I fear that if he uses it too much, he’s gonna go insane.
Anyways, that’s my theory.

Unfortunately this is a bit hemmed in by the source material.
It is only an inch, but it is full auto and allows for a fair bit of ammo in a being portable load, lots of ammo on a powered armor. 40mm full auto GL are on the way heavy side for personal carry, and ammo even more so.
If it helps look at it as a 100 caliber low velocity light machine gun with explosive ammo.
Even in game, they are not nearly so explosively effective as larger grenades, but full auto certainly adds a strong quality of its own.
Best quote in this story.
This story is awesome!
I don't like those thestrals...so mean...grrrr.
True horror
That is suspicious
And yet, they seem to have only really gotten started on that recently
The town is actually named... I suspect that was a name made by the elites
Wow, they aren't even putting any actual effort into covering it up huh
Mhmm
See funny thing is, she can very easily say.
"Yes, he is as fake as the Princess he serves"
And it would be completely true
Oh yeah, they have definitely been talking to the Institute, probably Klein, but definitely not Vega
