Rereading noticed this, now I'm calling it, Mobius is Fast's grandfather.
Dr. Mobius? I played this DLC on NV I don't know if they are connected to the fallout 4 institute since I didn't reached that far in the game (got side tracked with the dlc)
I just noticed that this story has exactly 111 likes
Love the name you gave the mayor of Diamond City
Quite excellent
awesome chapter
Seriously, if Fallout 4's writing and world building had been even half as competent as this story, it could have been one of the greatest games of all time.

I noticed that as well, i adore Fallout New Vegas, and the Old World blues DLC especially; so as soon as i saw the name Dr. Dala, i immediately thought of the Think Tank .
the Think Tank and the Institute have never shared any links in the games, although i am sure they'd have gotten along like a house on fire; nothing in Fallout 4 ever suggests the Institute was even aware of Big MT's continued existence (I'm fairly sure Bethesda refuses to reference anything at all from Fallout New Vegas, out of petulant jealousy for being shown up).
I do have to say, the Think Tank and the Institute make a perfect fit for each other in this story, and knowing what i do about the Think Tank and its horrendous history, that's got me curious about what other details of these two groups might have naturally meshed together here.
I’m planning on playing this game today.
I swear, I’m going to play it and wonder why it isn’t as good as this story.
The things you’ve changed have been pretty good (though I’m still waiting for Drumlin Diner), and these characters are far better than some in the game itself. That being said, the good characters are still more or less the same (except Piper on her first appearance, but that’s rescinded to the personality I’m more used to by now).
I’m only bringing this up now because someone else has said this story is better than the game, and I genuinely like Fallout 4 (and in fact, I did check receptions to be sure the game was worth it, it’s generally liked, if not as good as NV), but yeah, this story is better than the game so far.
That being said, take this Favorite, essentially my ‘elite stories’ ranking, if you can get me to read 220k words in a day, you deserve my Favorite.
I’m eager to see where this goes.
I have a very bad feeling about the nobles. There is no way in hell the Institute don't have their grubby hooves all over Diamond City.

I think it is too. Now I'm thinking about it. Hmmm.
I still like this. On to the next. And I can hear Nick's voice when I'm reading his lines. Hehe.

To add onto my (again) shockingly productive comment, one thing I really like about this story is the fact that the Institute gets built up as more than ‘hey, your son’s leading this’, and that there’s actually a mystery to unravel.
I feel like one of the things that puts this over Fallout: Equestria for me is the fact that it reads more like an Open World RPG, so it makes me very attached to the characters.

I'm catching up to your reading speed and I think I might over take you in rereading this
Well, you'll be meeting with a bunch of self-appointed "Nobles" so it will really be more of a low point
