Nightfall Glimmer was hanging out with her friends, Icylia Shocker, Melody Breeze, Dawn Light, Pixel Belle, Arcade Mash, and Prism Bolt at the Rainbow Library where Professor Sapphire Pearl worked. They were studying about an ancient spellbook which can create portals to the past, present, futures, and even alternate timelines by the famous unicorn wizard Leon de Pierre from Maredonia. As they were leaving the library, they were all attacked by surprise and Nightfall was kidnapped by the evil princess Somber Moon.
