    Soon!

I think I've used that blog title three or four times now.

Anyway! New chapter of Spectacular Seven is almost done! I was hoping it would be done this week so I could post it on Saturday, but I need to rewrite a scene. And that's before I edit it! And before Drakey edits it! The good news is...

    Ten Years, Still Here

I think back to my nascent days here, reading stories and typing out my own, hoping for the day where I could call myself a veteran of the fandom. My stories would be remembered and I would stand alongside authors like Pen stroke and Aragon.

And I look where I am now and go, ‘well, you got one big hit. Good enough.’

    Thank You

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to the GoFundMe or spread the word for it. It really means a lot. Thanks to your donations and getting a little more on my first paycheck than I thought I would, I should be able to stay afloat again.

My Turn to Ask for Help

    Hello friends.

I'm trying to raise money for me and Amber Spark after we suffered an accident with a U-Haul truck. The link to the GoFundMe page is here.

An update · 9:09pm Mar 22nd, 2022

This story will only die when I do. (Don't read into that.)

Hi guys, just posting an update to let you all know I'm still around. Progress is admittedly... very slow right now. My current job is... taxing on my mental health and energy. It doesn't leave me with much when I get home and on my off days, I would much rather fully relax with a video game or show than write. I am trying to turn that around, be a little more disciplined in my writing, and also trying to find a new job.

I was also a little stuck for a while in the story. Editor and friend Drakey has come to the assist as usual, so hopefully, I'll be a little less stuck for now.

I might also start doing fun blogs again. One, to engage with you guys again because I miss doing that, and two, a few jobs I would like to apply for need wiring samples. They may not be MLP related but they should be fun.

But yes, no matter what you might think or how many people move Spectacular Seven to their 'dead stories' folder, I will finish Sunset's tale.

Good to hear! Always puts a smile on my face when I see the story has updated.

Good to see I'm not the only one who struggles to write when shows and videogames seem more appealing than untangling my writing. That being said, I know you can do it!

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I love all your stories; you're the best Sunset Shimmer author on the site, and I'll be here, reading and re-reading all her adventures for as long as the site exists.

Given that I wrote my own story at one point, I'm well aware of how hard writing is, and I have nothing but respect for you. Take all the time you need.

Good luck on the everything front.

I'm glad to hear it, I'll wait however long it takes for you to finish it :)

I hope you find some stability in your life with your job, and I wish you the best.

Best of luck to you, Albi.

JMP

I'll be here whenever you update :)

Good luck with the job hunt, Albi. I'm sure you'll find something.

It's a grandiose claim, but one should always be careful about making such declarations. The universe has a wicked sense of humor. That said, wishing you well.

I completely understand and empathize. Always focus on your own health and happiness first and get yourself to a good place. I love your stories and am willing to wait however long is needed. I hope the things you do to write and interact will help you. Take all my best and support. (HUG)

Same, brother. Same.

Been chilling with this story since March 2019, 3 years goes so unbelievably fast! I can't wait to see what you have in store for us, I'm sure we don't mind waiting a little

“This story will only die when I do” Good to know! For a second there I though it was game over for this story but with that kind of reassurance I won’t worry about it anymore. I’ll wait as long as I have too. Take your time.

I promise to keep my seat belt fastened and to not ask, "Are we there yet?" every 5 minutes.

Take as much time as you need.

I was hoping an update like this would come along. Take your time, Albino, you have all our love and support!

Take as much time as you need. We will be here for you.

Hope your doing good. Took a break from the fandom myself but I’m back now. I can’t believe Spectacular seven has 70 chapters! Might have to re read long road to friendship again.however, I hope to see you update will soon.

Agreed. We'd love to see another blog post, whether it's just on how you're doing or progress :)

I've never been one to read blogs in general (except in rare occasions), less to post comments, but this blog alone answered all my questions about how was your life going since all these years, and I'm happy to hear about you.

The last post that I remember from you was the one right after your graduation with a picture of you and your diploma

So yeah. A looong time ago.

Makes me remember how much time I spent reading, how I used to tell myself that any good story is worth waiting, no matter what and making sure to express my support to those writers.
And that reading one story all over again for the nth time never bored me, whether it be short or long, Complete or In Progress.

Nowadays? Feeling's the same more or less. Not as "involved" as before but checking every so often just in case.
I'm happy that there are still people being dedicated in their stories when most known artists in the community cut art ties with the show and moved on, which is perfectly understandable.
There's only that many stories I'm keeping track of on my Feed, others have remained in my Favourite folder since day 1, mostly to never lose sight of them.

The problem with Spectacular Seven is that I can't read at ease a new chapter because I have to be up to date with the Arc.
I remember the big lines and events of most Arcs, but I've always had this need to start from the beginning.
