Does it bug anyone else

Despite the fact that I really hated that song, not to mention the episode it was in, whenever someone talks about "Fit Right In" from the G5 movie, I think instead about the song that Rarity sang to Yona in S9 that demonstrated she had zero respect for foreign cultures.

Is that just me?

I made untold jokes to others in the weeks leading up to the film about that title reuse, ha. *

Since then, I've had no trouble, though others sometimes bring it up as a joke. I've seen that episode like once, and never plan to do so again, so, eh… sorry buddy, I don't have that problem!

* I also, going off the song list, jokingly compared "I'm Looking' Out For You" to the Iago song "I'm Looking Out For Me" that Gilbert Gottfried belted out in his best pipes from the first Disney Direct-To-Video sequel, The Return of Jafar. A film I've only seen twice. That probably says a lot more about me than it does about either song.

I like to see it as a reformation of the concept. Rather than trying to My-Fair-Lady an impressionable young woman into cultural homogenization, it's exploiting the blind spot of an isolationist culture to drag it kicking and screaming into a more connected era.

I thought that the “Fit Right In” song was one of the only redeemable aspects of the G5 film, but…I’ve also questioned why the song couldn’t be given some other title instead due to there being an FiM song of the same name.

It’s another reason as to why I believe that the people behind the film were too lazy to actually push themselves creatively.

For the life of me, I can't remember the G4 song. I've watched the Totally Legit Recap on it a couple of times, but I've only seen the actual episode once. I guess there are some things better off forgotten.
