For those of you who see this for the first time past October 31st, I am effectively absent from the site. I will be serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in San Bernardino, California for two years.
This mission call came at a time when I felt pretty much done with the site as an author anyway. My major stories were all done, and my growth was stagnating. Not to mention, I didn't want to be closely associated with the more messed-up, mentally ill, and unstable nucleus of brony culture. I had to move on from this cartoon. I'm not too interested in writing mlp fanfiction anymore. The reason I came here in the first place was because I had a story in my head that I wanted to tell that just so happened to involve mlp characters. Once it was finally done over the course of four years, what other reason do I have to be here?
Well, there is one other reason. You guys. My friends. My close associates that I've made, that I wish I could spend more time around, that I wish I could meet face to face. You are the reason I've endured here, past my prime. We've joked and supported each other, but we've also argued and debated. That is perfectly healthy and natural, I think. But I prefer to think about the overwhelming amount of good times we have racked up. I want to remember them.
After more than four years on the site, I’ve become a respected author. I have grown, developed, learned much, and have struggled with many things. I’ve emerged from it a better person than I was at the beginning. I am more sure of my beliefs than ever before, and in fact, they’ve grown stronger. I’ve made friends with many of you, and some have lasted while others have withered. I have made many mistakes, but I’ve done my best to grow past the person who made them.
These may be my last words for a long while, so my message must be mature and thought-out. There are so many things I wish I could say, so much I wish I could tell the world. What would you say if you had a megaphone to the world, or to a crowd of hundreds?
Instead of speaking to general hundreds, I wish to address the approximately two dozen people I am very close to. This list is not in order of significance.
Jade Dawn, thank you for being my friend. You're righteous and pure, and you picked a great role model as your favorite superhero. When I think of you, I think of classic Superman. And if everyone was like classic Superman, the very powers of hell would be shaken forever. Keep the faith.
A Man Undercover, thank you for being my friend. In your heart, there is no guile, like Nathaniel in the New Testament. Your will to follow Christ is a great benchmark that many men fail to meet. With a firm testimony, you will not only endure the challenges ahead, but you will also want them to come. Keep the faith.
Golden Fang Ryu Shenron, thank you for being my friend. Your enthusiasm is boundless. I wish all men had your energy, your sense of care and empathy. Anything unbridled, however, can be a detriment. Be sober and strong. Keep the faith.
BezierBallad, thank you for being my friend. You are fun and witty, and your humor is spectacular. Once a friend is made with you, it is never forgotten, and that is incredibly admirable to me. When you are fully aware of who you are in this world, nothing can remove you from it.
GTthe4th, thank you for being my friend. I haven't been around you as long as the others on the site, but I highly treasure your investment into my work. You made my work feel worth it when all was said and done. How great shall be my joy if even one soul is inspired by my work! I wish I could have been around you longer. Work hard and remember why you do it. Keep the faith.
StormLuna, thank you for being my friend. Your Terror in Equestria stories were the first ones I've read while I was on the site, and to some degree, they inspired my own fantasies. I'm aware that we have differences as to what matters most. But with hope, that will be irrelevant. Strive to be a better man than who you were yesterday.
FourShadow, thank you for being my friend. I'll miss your enthusiasm and love for all who come across your way. You never seem in a bad mood, which is more than I can say about me. Even through the screen, I can feel the light you bring with you. It’s like an undispellable aura. Never change, except for the better. Be wise and seek learning.
TheMysteryMuffin, thank you for being my friend. You may have many struggles and challenges in your life ahead. They can come from outside and from within. When they come--that’s a when, not an if--face them without fear, but with faith and strength. When your strength comes from within, no force in heaven, earth, or hell can remove it. Draw unto Christ, and He will draw near unto you. Keep the faith.
Forgetful, thank you for being my friend. Your cheer and joy is unparalleled by many, and I know that your positivity will be a blessing to those you love. The future will be bright for you if you listen to the whispers of the Spirit and follow your intuition. I’m so happy I met you when I did. Be of good cheer and fear not.
TheKMExperience, thank you for being my friend. We are not rivals, and we are not even friends. We are companions, and I am in awe of your willingness to spread light and happiness to all you come across. You have very little restraint in showing love, but that is a good thing; most people need it. Form strong links with the friends who care deeply about you.
GivingSpider, thank you for being my friend. Over time, I believe we’ve both mellowed out to the point where I value your insight and perspective more than almost anyone else. You give me bountiful chances to expound upon myself and delve deeper into why I believe something, rather than just what I believe. When I think of you, I think of a peacemaker, who can simmer down both sides of an argument. You would make a wonderful Christian.
Raining_Chains115, thank you for being my friend. You are perhaps the most recent of my friends to capture my attention, and I’m so glad you came to me when you did. You give me hope and confidence in my abilities, and I’m sure you can do the same thing for many others. It is a gift you have that not many choose to use. Be wise and judge righteously.
Lil Biscuit, thank you for being my friend. If you ever come back and read this, I want to say, you’re an inspiration to me. I’m glad I was able to be one for you in return. You have become a wonderful, mature, better-changed young woman. I wish I could meet you in real life and embrace you for your choices.
ponybird21, thank you for being my friend. You’re funny and easy to talk to, and I’m glad I stumbled across your path. The memes we shared will not go forgotten. If something is pure and virtuous, cling unto it.
Agent Fluffy, thank you for being my friend. Thank you for the free readings of my more popular roleplaying stories. It’s honorable and humbling, and it blows my mind how tens of thousands of people have listened to them. Develop your talents; you will go far.
Sarah Dino Runnerhoof, thank you for being my friend. You’ve helped me grow and realize my flaws and limits. You are a woman who can grow past her limitations and ultimately become the person you want to be. You don’t need anyone else to show you who you really are, because it’s inside you. It just needs to be drawn out. I’m glad I was with you when I was. You made me feel alive, with purpose, like I was living for someone else. And for that, I’m grateful.
AntiBronyBenSwolo, thank you for being my friend. You’re funny and supportive, and your insight is valued in any discussion. This site would feel a different place without your presence. Though you are not exactly a brony, the friendships you make will be invaluable, and I’m glad you were able to make so many.

Whinifree, thank you for being my friend. Your affection and genuine concern are hard to match, and your heart is pure and undefiled. You are easy to be friends with, but not because you’re low-maintanance; you are just very lovely to be around. Keep your head up and be of good cheer.

Without you, I could not have gotten them where they needed to go. You have taught me humility and the value of secondary insight. LyraAlluse, thank you for being my friend. You helped me into groups where I could spread my work. I am in awe of your artistic talent and the care and concern that you put into everything you do. These talents will make the world a better place for those you are close to. Beauty is one of the few things in the world where no other explanation must be given for why men seek it. You can give much to an ugly and weary world, and shine light in many people’s lives.
For anyone else I did not address who I may have overlooked or forgotten, or if you have been absent from the site, or if we were not as close as we otherwise should have been, thank you as well. Whether you were big or minor in my life, I highly appreciate it. I treasure you and wish we could be closer.
I don’t want to bother too much with additional words. I’ve said plenty enough already. I’m just glad you were there for me to meet. I love you all. If you want to say goodbye and have me know about it, this is the final time and place to do so.
I have only one request. For those of you who don’t keep in contact, please remember me. Though I have to say goodbye, remember me. I've come a long way from where I began. I'll tell you all about my experiences when I see you again.

I won't say goodbye, because goodbyes are often final. We will meet again, whether it be online, in this life, or even up in Heaven, it will happen. So, with that in mind, so long, Brady. Thank you for the kind words, the laughs, the tears, the stories, the ponderous blogs, the writing tips, and all the joy you've brought. I will never forget you.

It has been good knowing you too. I'm glad you liked my Terror in Equestria stories, hopefully you got the chance to read all of them. Yes we are on the opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to some things but I have a feeling that we are probably more similar than you think. Good luck on your mission and God Bless, if you ever come back to the site afterwards, you'll still have people here who will give you a great big "You completed your mission!" party....and unless the site either goes away or the reaper comes and claims me....I will be part of that crowd.

It’s been an honor being your friend on this site. When I first came here, you were the very first member to help me feel welcome. The very first friend I made here too. I’m going to miss our chats on this site, but now that I know that there’s another way for us to keep in touch...I know that our recent messages to each other won’t be the last. Thank you all. I'm blown away by your wishes and sincerity. You are all very dear to my heart. But I must move on. You have each been teachers and learners, and it was my privilege and honor to be among men and women who I could genuinely call my friends.
Looking back at my time here, it was really enlightening. I'd probably do it all over again if only it meant being with you all for longer. I would learn from my mistakes. I would not fall into pits and traps. I would be firmer in my beliefs, but gentler towards my friends. As it stands, I'm so grateful I have you in my heart.
