Scampy's SunFlower Shipping Contest Results Will Be Announced May 1st! · 1:33am Apr 12th, 2021

Good hecking gosh, what a turnout.

As of last night when submissions closed, we received 41 ENTRIES, plus a myriad of other stories inspired by the contest that weren't submitted themselves. When it comes to spreading the eternal truth that is SunFlower to the masses, we can consider this contest a rousing success.

I really really wanna thank everyone who participated, not just by writing and submitting but also everyone who posted blogs about the contest, talked about it with their friends, really just spread the word around. This is my first time hosting a contest and as such I wasn't eligible for site-wide announcement privileges, but goddang did y'all come out in droves. Me and my friends' silly little project blew up way bigger than any of us thought possible, and we couldn't be happier. We'll definitely have to do this again sometime~

So, on to announcements!

On May 1, I'll post a blog announcing the final results, including the placement awards and the judges' prizes. The delightful and talented Dave Bryant even made a bunch of fancy digital ribbons we'll be handing out to each winner, along with their prize money. Speaking of which, on May 1 the winners will be contacted by Gay for Gadot, and she'll see to it that they get their winnings \o/

When it comes to the charity side of things, I'll post a blog announcing the totals donated to each charity as soon as the donations have been made. To those who don't know, for every entry to the contest, $20 will be donated to charity--$10 from Lord Camembert and $10 from Fillyfoolish. Speaking of which, many of the participants have not yet messaged Lord Camembert with their choice for which charity they wanted donated to in their name. If you submitted a story, please please please remember to message him so we can get that money sent!

NOTE: If you submitted a story and Lord Camembert hasn't heard from you by April 18, we'll default to the Transgender Law Center for your donation choice.

Thanks again to all of you for making my silly little contest idea into such a huge success. We on the judging team have a lot of reading and arguing ahead of us, cuz lemme tell you, picking a winner is gonna be hard. So many of these stories just blew us away. It's been a great reminder of how many talented writers this site has to offer.
