So if it wasn't at all apparent by some of my online shenanigans that bleed into IRL, or vise versa, then you'd know I (usually) hang with a bunch of other Fimmy Fic authors from time to time.
One such fellow is Admiral Biscuit, and today I'm thanking him cause both of my regular push mowers broke down today while trying to do yard work. I was gonna give up, then looking in my pile I saw one that the fucker, Admiral, gave me, and remembered with a pair of vice grips and some 100 low lead gasoline, it works.
So thanks, jackass, now I gotta keep doing yard work.

So when Admiral gave me the mower, he said the motor was junk. I saw how clean the deck was, and thought, well if I can't get it started, then I'd use it for a future polish air conditioner (another story). So, the first, and obvious, thing I did was pull the plug, put some marvel in, and pulled the carb and fuel tank to clean them. Then, when I went to pull start it to work the marvel in, it wouldn't pull. Acted like it was seized, but then I realized the shut off cable was all fudged up. Upon closer inspection, the cable was rotten, and seized, so I grabbed some vice grips, pulled on it against the motor side, and it released it.
From there, some fresh 100LL, a little ether, and bam, it worked.
tl;dr: If you look in the picture, at the back of the engine near the base of the handle, you can see the vice grips holding the broken shut off cable out.
