Solid-Rarity the Trade Unionist? · 10:11pm Dec 3rd, 2019
Taking a brief diversion from talking about science communications stories. I have another pony fiction requirement. One of my amazing friends in my trade union branch sent me a customised brushable pony.
She looks like Rarity, but this is Solidarity, the unioncorn, who is now the mascot of our casework team.
I now need a back-story. Is this Rarity’s long lost twin sister? Or alternative version of the Element of Generosity, who decided to fight for fair remuneration for textile workers, and support victims of bullies like Suri Polomare?
Any ideas?
Where are the main mass market maufactories located though? Manehatten looks more Stock Market and Design based?
Yeah, going with alternative version. The Rarity we know is bourgeois to her bones.
All I know is the internet has ruined me and I can't see "UCU" without thinking it's some variant of "uwu".
Let's think of more slogans for her.

Yeah, Rarity is the biggest capitalist on the show. She literally gets a child to work in a mine for her.
Apropos of nothing, it feels like there are fewer leftists on FimFiction than there probably are. Ideas to remedy that?
I have no ideas, but am commenting just to show my support.

Has all production been outsourced to Appleloosa and Griffonstone?

In any good union story, there is a bit where characters from different trots of life have to come together and realise they are stronger if they work together. I think Rarity/Solidarity could unite the designers and the seamstresses; the Canterlot elite and the proletariat.

The alt-right always act as if they are more numerous than they really are

To be fair, that's because everyone thinks that they're more numerous than they really are, including the alt-right itself.
Does the existence of a Solid-Rarity imply a Liquid Rarity?
Also hell yeah, pony unions!
Rarity: "Darling, of course, I support the UCU. One simply isn't born with this level of culture and sophistication!" Her voice drops down into sotto voce. "And just between the two of us, I had to develop this accent somewhere, afterall."
Solidarity, comrade!
Oh, and since I (and everyone else) forgot to bring it up...
Tell your friend to go to their room and think about what they've done. Even if you were the one to come up with the actual pun, they still enabled it.

There can be no power greater beneath Celestia's sun...
¡Cool!
