Work on Infinite Imponability Drive continues. I aim to get another chapter up by next weekend. Thank you to everyone who left comments. Sorry I have not been very responsive. I got sidetracked for the last two weeks preparing a talk for the ATOM society on Particle Detectors for the LHC and Beyond, which took rather more of my time than I anticipated.
The Pony Life scene was serendipitous. I started writing it just because I felt I should include a nod to that world, alongside all the others. I then realized that what I had written was a perfect description of an infinite imponability field. I regard Douglas Adams’s original infinite improbability scene as one of the finest examples of writing for radio, taking full advantage of the better picture quality that can be achieved with that medium. Trying to think of something to write to match that was a bit intimidating.
Anyway, this story will continue for another chapter or two, and then stop, maybe a little abruptly, when I run out of draft chapters to edit. (I don’t do long fics). But that would be following the style of Douglas Adams.
