Man, thirteen years in the Army, and the only place I truly wanted to go was Germany. Never got to go, though. Did get to go to South Korea, which was fun, but not the same. Heh, I remember during my first deployment, I asked my gunner if he thought I would like Korea:
SGT Sparks: "Well, that depends, Private. Do ya like t' drink?"
Me: "Uh, not really, Sergeant."
SGT Sparks: "Well, then yer gonna hate Korea."
Since the US military presence is probably the only thing keeping my country from being a Chinese province, I should show some appreciation as well.

Oh, don’t get me wrong! I loved Korea! Easily the best two years of my Army career. But I just wanted to go to Germany so bad!
