So, the time is finally here. I’m sure many saw this coming, while others not so much. As the title says, I’m finally bidding my official adieu. It’s been a wild ride. Since joining back in 2012, I’ve read so many stories on this site, seeing users grow from beginning writers to well-known names in the HiE category. While I rarely commented, I was always around enjoying what was being created.
It was because of my love for the show and what I read that I created my first fanfic. I had a story to tell and that’s what I did. However, something changed along the way. I started to lose interest in MLP and with that my inspiration for the show slipped and all I was left with was my own universes.
The 'How many-verse' is one of my greatest accomplishments and failures. I had a story to tell, one that I never saw done before and I believe I’ve done that ten times over. Yet, the story ends here and will never come to a conclusion. I’m sure this is unfair to those that have been here with me the longest but in a sad way, it’s an appropriate end to the story.
As for Patreon. I truly do appreciate those that stuck around and believed in me enough to put your hard earned money to keep me inspired. That’s all it was in the end, just to give me a reason to stay, to tell the story I already knew the ending to. For that, I want to thank those who donated, truly, I’m sorry it ends here.
Even as I sit here I recall my time spent on this site. The good and the bad. From the PMs of people who told me they never related with a character so much in their life until they read “How many friends”, to an admin who simply said I was manipulating my user base for money when I opened a Patreon.
I’m almost thirty and with age, I’ve started to see that staying any longer isn’t going to be good for anyone. There is nothing that can be done that I haven’t already tried. Patreon was a bandage, my short hiatus was a bandage but it was all going to come to this eventually. My stories became a burden and there’s no way to fix that.
I’ll be honest, I never expected to be around this long. It amazes me that writing has become the longest thing I’ve ever done and I will always remember that. I know I didn’t make any friends here, so I have no one to say goodbye to but my fans that stuck around. Thank you for spending the time to read my stories.
I will be figuring out how to close my Patreon account over the next day or so. I will also be closing my Discord channel as well. As for those who have commissions, I’ll work on them when I can but give them to you once completed and let you decide what happens.
This name will die here but I’ll still be around. Perhaps one day you’ll see me again in another artistic medium under another name, but until then, this is goodbye.
Damn.. This stinks. But. It was a good run man.

Sorry to be demanding, but could you also include a brief summary of what was to happen in the remainder of your unfinished stories? It would certainly help give them at least some closure.

I've never been one to argue when someone feels like it was time to go, but damn. You and your works will be missed. All I can ask is if you could post a short summary or timeline of what you planned in these stories, to give us some closure.
Also, give a shout out if your ever in east La, like Ontario, I'll treat you to lunch or something.

Not sure if I should read HML. It's never going to be finished and I want to read what does exist, but I almost always regret starting an unfinished story. On the other hand, I've already sort of started, what with HMF, and the first sequel....
You can't post that original story (and any other original stories) you were working on on Archive of Our Own. How will you let us know when and if you eventually post it....somewhere? Those of us that are interested anyway.

Don't be that way. Am I happy that one of my favorite stories just got cancelled? No. But he isn't obligated to write for us, if he doesn't want to write then he doesn't have to. But you never know, miracles can happen.
The site itself (or mods because I have no idea how features work) wants at least 2 of your stories to continue.
I am slightly disappointed. But sometimes it's better to wonder than to see something set in stone. Exactly like why we are afraid of the 9th season.

From what I know, featuring is based on the amount of traffic a story receives in a short period of time. The last 3 slots of the featured box are reserved for recently updated stories that are popular and the rest are other features, or at least I think.

As sad as I am to see you go, I respect you taking the time to let everyone know not to keep their hopes up. It's been a wild ride, and the "How Many" verse remains one of my absolute favorites. You turned about 90% of the human fics in the site entirely on their head in incredible ways. The mane 6 were functionally antagonists, Anon was a highly competent adult but disinterested in pursuing friendships or romantic relationships. Beyond that, the world building was stellar. Luna had some very deep and entirely understandable reasons for her fall, and even Nightmare Moon seems to be a real character with depth who was going to play a major role in the story. So, I say again, I am sad to see it come to an end but I appreciate the heads up.
At the risk of asking too much, would it be possible for you to write up a quick summary of where the plot was going? I fully understand that it was turning into a chore you didn't want, but I would be deeply appreciative of at least knowing the end, even if we don't get to see it in story form.

Thanks for letting us know. I really enjoyed the "How Many.." verse. When I first read the first story I remember thinking how the characterizations were done. Flipping many conventions on their heads and it no doubt influenced how I've viewed character profiles since then. I do hope you can provide a summary like others have ask if you have the time. I'll most likely add a summary in my next blog post that'll have my compiled works. It'll take time, as there's a lot and I want it to be clean and organized.
it's been a hell of a ride brother. I've been following you ever since i can remember. thank you for all the great stories man i wish you the best, without a doubt your "how many friends have you made" , "how many have you forgiven today", and "how many lovers have you made today" stories my favorite stories I've ever read on here. everything you accomplished on here will never be forgotten.
