Now, you can't blame me for having a long blog post because I have to somehow make my post seem important. Otherwise, no one would read it. Or comment.

But since I have your attention, my dear followers, I want to do something special this year. The title of this blog, I am sure, has explained a good amount of what I plan on doing. It does not explain the details of the rules of voting, so allow me to explain everything in detail:

I have taken a lot of time and effort into improving my writing this year. And throughout this year, I have written a lot of stories as well. Because of this, and to thank all of those who have read, followed, favorited, liked, and maybe disliked my stories to have a chance to vote for their favorite story I have written this year. For the story that gets the most votes, I will commission an artist to draw a picture of a character or characters of that story. After the winning story is chosen, people can suggest what the drawing should look like. The difference with the suggestions is that I will personally be choosing my five favorite suggestions and then having a final round of voting by choosing the favorite suggestion. The winning story and winning idea will be commissioned.

Here are the rules for voting:

1. I will create a list of stories that can be voted for. You can vote on any of the stories listed.

2. Any new stories that are published after the posting of this blog are not applicable for voting. Those stories will be used for next year's voting (if I do this contest again next year).

3. You can only vote for ONE story only.

4. Your vote will only count if you comment on this blog. There will be other blogs announcing this contest, both by advertising it by tagging several stories, while also making updates and continuously blogging about this contest.

5. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT! All votes will be accepted until 1/12/2018. Any votes after the following date will not count.

6. (this is to avoid asking the question of, "do I have to read/ comment/ follow you/ your story[ies]?") Voters are not expected to have read my stories. Matter of fact, you don't even have to have read any of them. If you like the cover art, sure, make a vote. You also don't have to follow me to vote. That would be very shitty of me if that was a rule to this contest.

If you see any of the stories listed here that you thought were the best I made this year, leave your vote. Don't be afraid of voting for a story that may not be the most viewed or have the most attention compared to others. Every vote counts in this event. This event will be going on for one month before it ends.

Also, keep this in mind in regards to the actual commission: I will be spending money out of my own pockets for the winning story and suggestion. I also know who to commission. Whatever I spend and whoever I commission is what I will choose. Do not try and suggest other artists to me, or expect a massively detailed picture. I expect myself to spend, at most, $100 for the winning story. If the drawing is not something you like when it is finished, do not be angry with me or the artist. This is something that is to be fun, enjoyable, and a reflection on how much I appreciate my readers and followers.
