So back in the day there was an amazing soul by the name of The Descendant. He has since moved onto other things but we still remember him for being the nicest gorram soul in existence.
We also remember him by donning festive cheer for the holiday season. This can be done very easily.
Step 1. Take your avatar image. If you lack the original take it from the largest source you can find on fimfic (usually your userpage)
Step 2. Make a copy so you have a backup for when this is over and you want to reupload a regular avatar. Or be like this loser.
Step 3. Find some festive cheer you like. This could be a Menorah, or a wreath or some mistletoe or holly or even a santa hat or something else entirely! It's up to you and that's half the fun. I've also seen some great Rudolphs before.
Step 4. open ms paint and apply to avatar. (This can be sloppy)
Step 4a. Alternatively come into the comments and ask some photoshop-savvy soul to do it for you, but try and supply the two necessary parts.
Step 5. Reupload the avatar and revel in getting to celebrate something fun with the fandom.
