Wow, I had no idea that my new Story "A Zebrica for a Human" would explode the way it did.
Not only did it made it into the feature bar on day one, but it also became a "This story is Hot right now" status which catapulted it to the very top.
Views, Fav's, and comments are just streaming in, I am not being dramatic here, they are literally streaming it. I posted the story yesterday, went to bed after and when I woke up to check how it is doing now I had easily over 100 notifications with the Fic haven jump from over 100 thumbs up yesterday to over 200 in a single night. And not its at over 275 likes and 20 dislikes with over 1400 views already.
Why is this this so popular all of the sudden? Are Zebra Fics with Humans in such high demand right now?
This is crazy, right now I am just waiting for it to break the 300 likes mark, and that in just over a single day.
Thank you all for supporting this new fic, seriously. I had no idea that THIS would reach so far in such a short time.
Special thanks to my editor as well and the peoples who proofread it first. Some peoples out their are praising me for being a great writer but really half of the credit goes to all the proofreaders and editors as well for fixing the story up and even adding there own little sentences here and there.

You know what I think this story went to the top so fast? you brought something new. Yeah we all heard the story of man entering Equestria, but you might be the first one (at least in my case) that post a story where the main six, the princess or a Discord is NOT involve, and instead is not another pony but an entire different race the one responsible for the developing of the story.
Also it was flaw the teleportation and right out the bat the human have to deal with problems that make everything fell a lot more real. And that is just both fresh and out of the box thinking. That is why I think its amazing.
I will wait patiently the next chapter because I really want to know how a man with a mug and a table can rule a nation.

Perfect, also regarding the pic, thanks honestly I didn't though to much about witch kind of griffin it is, but I would like to think its more like a wise Griffin (going closer to sapient), it hunts and eats like any other animal but its smart and knows when to fight and when to flee, as well as helps those that respect him

I just like it because it seems to have comedy, no signs of edge lords and a somewhat different than usual location. Now all the main character just has to not have a 'convenient' and vast knowledge tech/guns and how to produce them (seems to happen often where the human makes an army of human tech weilders, what happened to the good old days of magic where you could just turn your enemies into a potato?).
Besides, I'm still mostly hoping the main character goes native.
I don't think there's been a story that got 300+ likes in just over 24 hours since my little Dashie or past sins!!

4376747 All of this. I had a similar experience when I published my first story. It was new, it took what was old and made it new again. A bit of talent doesn't hurt either. Still, this is breaking into the new frontiers and as such it will become very popular. Heck, I used this nifty trick to get two more stories blown up through the feature box. Word of advice: Don't let this all go to your head. You still have a story to write for us readers.

Most time when I looks on updates and new storys it's like: another meh, another Mary Sue, another stupid Lovah, 20th iteration of absolutly same idea etc..
Most of experienced readers here strongly react on something they not seen before.
When this something new is good and gather some upvotes, "avalanche effect" begins.

though the cultural and social side of things could take a while, who knows, if our protagonist truly becomes the "monkey king" and unites all the Zebra tribes. wouldn't he technically be able to make the rules?
4377641 yeah he could make the rules, but who's going to let a baby make them might end up with a few trials.... Woven grass mitts with bull ants continues to come to mind.
4377644 i remember something similar about the mitt filled ants, wasn't there a documentary about a tribe that puts bullet ants in grass weave gloves? the explorer/presenter put a single bullet ant somewhere on his arm and and ended up writhing on the floor bawling his eyes out, but there was this tribal kid wearing a pair of those mitts filled with the little buggers and took it like a tank.
