I probably don't deserve to use a song this awesome, but...
Heeeello everypony. I hope you've been enjoying the updates so far. Or, at least, you know, tolerating them.
If it's not obvious I was pretty hesitant to update because writing stories got harder as it went on, and not just because of changes in my life—although those happened, too—but because when I started out I really really didn't mind what others thought, too much. As time goes on though writers—even one as steely-eyed and cold-hearted like a wizard such as I, gets rather attached to their stories and goings on. And, well, seeing five or so down votes pop up every update got tiresome. It made it easier to just leave the stories unfinished and sort of know just keep the ending to yourself where it's nice and safe.
But I've never really been the type of person to write for myself or be that selfish, so I'm going to do what any self respecting writer determined to finish their prized work would do, and put tape over my computer screen so I can't see the downvote counter!
What, that won't work? Oh, fine, I'll just grow some thicker skin then and never mind things. ;P
Heh, onto seriouser business though, A Twilight Landing and My Little Marriage are, if you can remember this far back, still in the midst of a pivotal part of the story where Twilight Sparkle and Mary have rendezvoused in order to figure out what to do. This part of the story was blindingly hard to write, and is the second third of what kicked off this massive hiatus on my part. Telling the story from either character's perspective, I think, was still the right thing to do... but I wish that I had been a better writer so I could have done it in a much shorter and easier to consume fashion. One day I imagine I'll try to wade into the mess that is that is those four chapters and chop out about half of them...
Until then, I promise to move forward with both brevity and care in mind.
My Little Marriage updates Monday, everypony! Wish me luck. (I'll need it, hahhahaaa.... ^^')
Oh, and I've been invited to a stream by Flutterpriest of all things. I have no idea what to expect! I haven't watched a stream before so this will be fun.I think these guys are a little M rated and they might be asking some risque questions, but anyone that knows me knows I'm a bit of a prude for raunchy fanfiction stuff (other than humor) so I'll be steering it towards the side of rated E for everyone. ^^

Holy crap, yes! I've watched so many of my favorite stories cancelled or seemingly abandoned. And it's been so long since any story in my favorites has updated at all. Especially in the past few days its really been wearing on me as I've been looking back though them and realizing just how long it's been since they've updated and how long it's been since some of these authors have so much as logged in. (It doesn't help that it's been something like a year since I've liked any new story I've tried to read.) Seeing a long dormant core favorite like A Twilight Landing active again is something I've desperately needed. I dearly want to see the Madverse completed. Anything else would be too much of a shame.
Woo! I may not read the updates the same hour they are posted, but read them I will.

Anyway, I'll be reading them from the beginning again! I look forward to maybe having an actual ending by the time I get there
