    Five... Years... Later...

    Hey everyone,

So I figured I'd let you guys know that the newest chapter for EQG:LFD is now published. After almost five years since the last time. I'm so sorry for making you all wait that long. I know what's written here and the chapter itself probably won't make up for it. I spent so long just staring at the screen while writing it when I realized how long it's been since the last update.

I just want to say thank you to everyone who gave A Glorious Day a like and a fave. I know I sound like a broken record each time I do this. But I don't care. You guys are awesome. I'm lucky to have each and every one of you here. And I am glad that you all enjoy these ideas of mine that eventually make their way from my mind to the keyboard.

    Thank you!

    What's up y'all.

I just want to say thank you to everyone who gave my latest story a fave. It truly means a lot to me after such a long period of time of nothing happening. I've already been having ideas about who will get the next 'Erotica Girls' story. But I couldn't decide between the final two. So now I'm going to leave it to y'all to vote.

It'll be between the following two:

Hey guys,

So..... I just don't know what to do anymore in regards of this story. It seems like no matter what, I'm always getting people complaining about how certain characters are killed off, how others are treated, and the direction that the story is going. Its gotten to the point where it's no longer fun for me to write. That's part of the reason why it took so long to get the most recent chapter out. The motivation and fun for me as a writer, as far as this story is concerned, is gone.

So this has led me to do something I didn't want to do. But I'm not seeing any other options. Unless I'm convinced otherwise or someone else wants to take over, this is it. No more. I'm done.

Disregard everything written in this post.

Aw... I was enjoying it, actually. :pinkiesad2: Gotta admit, it is annoying seeing people argue about stuff like that. Dang... I hope you're alright with this.

Hmmm pity.

It's alright, sometimes you just get burnt out on a idea, or the negativity just drags you down and it just becomes a struggle to put words down. Personally, I loved your story with all of its features.

Have a good day and have fun!
(P.S. : There will always be whiners. The trick is to ignore them and do what you love. If you stop loving it like in this case, then you made the right choice and didn't force it)

Such a shame... it was going so well...

I never really understood what they were complaining about. I liked the way things were going, and you're going to have character deaths ina dark themed story.

Hope you can find the enjoyment in this story again one day, I'll be keeping it on tracked in that hope.

I'll admit I never read the story mostly because zombies aren't my thing and I'm not into L4D, but it sucks you had to cancel it because some whiny little brats didn't like that their favorite character was killed off. I mean in a story like this you would expect a few characters to die maybe even your favorite if you can't accept that then maybe you should change the setting in your profile so you can't see any mature stories because you are acting like a child.

Honestly, who cares what they think. Its a dark story and stuff like that will happen. If you still have ideas, go for it! If you don't, then dont

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! :raritycry::raritycry::raritycry::raritycry:

Huh... I have to say, life is a bit unfair like that.
When I read a story I don't like, they carry on regardless of what I think.
But when there's a story I do like, it gets cancelled as a result of flak-attack.
Its a shame, too, I really liked the way it turned out in the end. Twilight tapped into her inner Saeko Busujima, a pairing was taken from this world, and Snips reenacted the scene from Hellsing Ultimate Abridged Ep 2 without any dialogue. I was honestly looking forward to what happened next... but then, the readers have to take away nice things. Maybe that's how Tatsurou fans feel like whenever I'm complaining about stuff...
Despite everything, I hope your next pursuits bring you joy instead of dread. Peace.

WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?! :raritycry: It was so good! :raritydespair:

Damn. This was a really good story too. I find it funny that people came to a story with a zombie apocalypse. Then complained when characters they like died. It's just stupid. I love a lot of characters from the show, like everyone else. But I don't bitch at an author when a character dies. It's their story, and everyone else has no control over it. If you don't like it, then stop reading, and move the buck on.

Harms Way. Sucks that this is what it came to. I and a lot of the others who read this story can safely say that it was an awesome story, and we're sad to see it go. I look forward to what you make next. I hope you have better luck with it.

Oh nooo :raritydespair:

Why people when offended by some content cannot just pass their way silently? You had to whined and bitch about until you discourage the author, thus punishing every one who was enjoying that content.

Harms Way, I'm so sorry this has happen to you, you didn't deserve all this negativity. This story was really good and it's even sadder that you took the time to ask us folks to suggest what character is gonna be, thus making us participate into it.

awww dude you shouldn't let people's petty complaints get in the way of what you want to write. It's your story not theres. and they have no right to dictate what goes in the works an author wants to do, unless its constructiv crisitm or story telling idea or springboard. not "This suck because you hurt/killed my fave charcater."

Harm, I'm going to be real with you because I think you deserve to hear it. You're making a really dumb decision right now.

I read through those comments, and honestly? They're relatively innocuous. Sure, they might have disagreed with a narrative choice you made and had an adverse reaction to one of their preferred characters dying, but this kind of thing is to be expected when you enact big decisions like this. What kind of backlash do you think writers like George R.R. Martin get when they massacre their cast? They probably got some pretty intense reactions that could border on outright hate. All this really should mean to you as a writer is that people are invested in your story and care about what happens.

Beyond that, starting a habit now of being discouraged by negativity can be detrimental to the future of your writing. I know how much criticism can hurt, believe me, I've gotten whipped over what I've chosen to write plenty over the years, but you can't let them kill your potential. You should really try to disconnect your will to write from the validation of your fans. I mean, do you really think the complete potential and enjoyment that this story could bring to the world should be lost over a couple of people that disagree with how you chose to do things? I sure don't. You should really look back at the story and get immersed in the world you want to build and fall in love with the characters you're trying to push forward. Doing that will give you more motivation than a couple of comments about how they think the story is going. And if you find that you really just don't enjoy writing the story, then you should move on to something you do enjoy; just don't let outside forces decide what you really do and don't want to write.

Seriously, don't let others discourage you from creating. Letting this happen can be a slippery slope that will bring the quality of your writing down to meet the standards of what others want, not what you want out of it. If you start letting this happen I can guarantee you'll enjoy writing less as a whole eventually. I'd hate to see habits like ending stories over negativity continue and hold you back from the writer that I know you can be.

Funny thing is, is that the people who complained and shit won't come on to this blog post and comment about it. I'm sorry to hear you had to do this man, I wasn't following the story but I'm sure it's been good.

I'll admit that I've been one of those guys who has criticized some of the directions this story has taken and how certain characters were treated. Especially the one concerning Twilight's feeling for Flash :fluttershysad:

Her friends just didn't seem to care at all and it felt a bit unfair how they kept putting her down for trying to save Flash, even if there was no salvation for him. I also just didn't enjoy that everyone but Twilight seemed to be in favor of killing him.

And if you felt hurt by my comment on the new chapter, then I'm really sorry about that :fluttercry: It was never meant with ill intent and I feel ashamed for not enjoying this story regardless of how it is written.

I hope you'll take your time and perhaps change your mind about this. Criticism is everywhere and you shouldn't feel threatened or put down because of it. You deserve to write stories the way you want it.

Again, I'm very sorry :fluttercry:

Damn it. I really liked the story. (Even though I was slightly peeved at Flash's fate, since I am an unashamed TwiFlash shipper, but hey, it's Left 4 Dead, I knew what I signed up for, and you handled that moment well.)

While I, in theory, wouldn't mind taking over the story, since I like L4D and had played it a lot, I'm not sure I can - my workload has not been easy, and I have three fics in progress on my platter now. Besides, even if I did, it wouldn't be your story all the fans signed up for. I cannot honestly say I can deliver what you deliver.

Truth be told, I hope you will reconsider. Whenever you write a story where a character is hurt, or dies, or does morally ambiguous things, someone will be unhappy. I had experienced this when I killed off one of the CMC and one of the popular background characters in one of my stories. Some readers also posted "hurt feels" comments, although... less emotionally charged than those I saw for the last chapter of EQG:L4D, admittedly. (That may change, though, because there are more deaths down the line, oh yes... :pinkiecrazy:) You can't make everyone happy. Although, maybe, the situation can be somehow rectified if you were to tone down the grimdark for the next chapter or two before returning into the fray. Not everyone can handle prolonged uninterrupted tension and darkness.

Ultimately, though, it's up for you - if you don't feel any motivation to write and enjoyment from the process, I cannot insist that you continue.

4211100 This. All of this.

Everyone has opinions and they all suck. You are far from the first writer to get flak because you made a narrative choice someone didn't like and you won't be the last. Take some of the controversial fic on this site for example. YHAY? People put up huge ass rants on just about every chapter because of the world the guy wrote, but you know what? The author kept on writing because he wanted to.

Having validation is fun, don't get me wrong, but that should not be the basis of why you write. You probably had a reason to kill off those characters, but if you stop writing now, we will never find out and may assume that you did it for shits and giggles. Just keep writing. If writing is something you love to do, then do it and fuck what other people think. It's okay to ask for opinions on where to take your story, but in the end it's still your story and your choice to kill off a character if you need to.

Do you want to make this a great story? Then keep on writing.
