    I’m alive again.

Came back and confused as to how to see anything here. Is anyone still around? Oh, and I don’t even know how to write stories anymore not.. that I was probably ever good in the first place.

    Is anyone around? *echoes*

Sup guys, glad to be able to log back on to this website. How's everyone? (If anyone is still around)

    Yeah, I'm still alive

So I've been away for like months, I'm sure at this point no one or nopony (is that still a thing? Idk) noticed. I've got a job and I'm about to start a year course in September and work everyday of the week except the weekend and I've gotten in to taking my art practice more seriously so I barely had and still barely have time to come on here, so my writing and editing skills pretty much died

Active Follower count. · 12:35am Aug 17th, 2016

I want everyone that is following me. I want you to comment "me" in this blog. If you don't comment, you may be subject for unfollowing if I'm following you. I'm purging.

Alright, if it's for the number.
Me.

Well that's highly unnecessary. It's still a number even if it's not active. You think pewdiepie ever cared that peoples you tube accounts were inactive in his amount of subscribers? No he did not. They still support never the less

Me, moi, mi, che

I'm here.

4153799 that's what I'm saying. This whole purge thing is unnecessary.

If you don't comment, you may be subject for unfollowing if I'm following you.

My last version was a bit convoluted, so I'll try this again...

1) Why do you care if your followers are inactive?

2) What if by some means someone doesn't see this journal and misses this?

3) What if someone doesn't comment on this and yet are a frequent or active user?

4) You make it sound like you have followed back every one of your followers, or that people you follow have followed you back. Why would you expect them to see this if they haven't followed you, as this would not appear in their feed?

5) Why do you care about something you cannot control (the follower count)?

Oh um hi? Tis me!

While I do agree with 4153820, I also don't want to lose you. :fluttershysad:

Soooo....

Me. :yay:

4153791
4153820 True. However Two to six comments in a blog post is one thing I've had a small issue with considering the amount that is following me. Two, The views, which are at an all time low considering the amount that is following me.

Pewdiepie always has millions of views and tons of comments so in his case he doesn't need to worry about inactive accounts.

To answer your questions Revenant Wings:

1) Because having followers means that you and whoever is following you has to have good base. That means if I post a blog I shouldn't be getting ten to fourteen views and thirty views on a blog if I beg. Sure if I had two hundred, but we're talking nearly seven hundred bro. Something isn't right there.

2) That happens and I'm reasonable. I'm not gonna unfollow you for that. Like both you guys and people that have commented in this blog I wasn't going to unfollow anyways. I just need to weed out the ones that pay no interest to any of what I do and apart from u guys there is a lot that don't. Like I said, I know who not to take off. This was for me to confirm who I would have to unfollow. Like if you guys didn't comment, then I still know not to unfollow you guys.

3) Well... Like you guys, I know not to unfollow. Maybe I should reworded how I said that before submitting. :twilightsheepish:

4) *Scratches head*

5) Well maybe if I got a better reader base which I clearly don't. I mean I do, but with six hundred followers it should be stronger. It their was a balance I wouldn't need to write this blog. However, because it isn't balance I need to do some cleaning and work on getting more people like you guys to talk/blog to with future projects and stuff.

4153859 Thanks for the comment guys. Im not gonna unfollow you lot either. I could just fish them out anyways but I thought I'd blog to see if those users would comment.

4153864 it's still unnecessary. Besides is the amount of followers and popularity really everything to you? Why should you care how many followers you have or not have? The fact that you have this many is crazy but it shouldn't really be what matters. What matters is what you do and what you accomplish on here. Hungering for popularity is a more negative outcome than positive. I have only 95 that I'm happy for but I'm not in it for the fan base or popularity

Soooo... this was an effort to get people to comment and view your blog post then?

It worked, I'd say. :p

Me.

4153864
And I should have been clearer on what I meant by "you cannot control": there is no way to purge a follower other than blocking them; you can't go to their page and make them unfollow you. But blocking a follower doesn't mean you've eliminated them from watching you. It merely means they cannot post, they cannot comment, and they cannot do anything on your page. The number doesn't go down.

The other thing is what about followers who perhaps aren't interested in posts containing certain stories? I have people who I'll post something for my story "A Wish for Wings to Fly" or "Heart of Darkness" and they don't comment on it or possiblty even view it because it has nothing to do with "Mare Magnet" or "Dreamweaver" or whatever else. I suppose the general way of thinking about it is a blog does not exactly do justice to the attention-span or activity of your followers.

4153878 But what about the people who missed this blog?

4153889
4153864
If I may—

On the flip side, there may also be people who have fave'd one of your stories—but not followed you—who actively comment on those particular posts, but not on your others because they don't follow you in general. I'm dealing with a good amount of that right now, given that one of my hiatus'd stories (adopted, but still) with a huge fan base is now somewhat active again.

Mich. (Me in German)

Me!

Wow! You follow over 3,000 people! How do you keep up with them all?!

Me. I don't post a lot though, or at all for that matter lmao. I just lurk nowadays.

I'm still active though I usually just lurk. Been a bit inactive in fiction recently though.

4153904 This is true. However, time after time I get warned about getting followers through following lots of people which is unfortunately how I thought I was going to get fame when starting off. They would say that it is not a good practice, which is true because it's just a number as opposed to actually getting that umber through writing good or well known stories. Which I only have one or two, three at most maybe.

I followed over three thousand people. Not even you guys do that. That is an insane amount of things to keep track of. And most times we don't communicate after the initial follow and the people that comment here are ones that I either read stories from, talk to, or I'm really cool with. That still leaves others that I don't talk to or having nothing about them that we could relate to each other about. My follow count has to be decreased by a massive amount.

Cuz again, I have an apparent crazy number of followers but I got them mostly by following a whole lot of people. So my number in some eyes are a bit annoying to watch as opposed to you guys who are totally cool with it.

:derpytongue2: I am active, but more so just every now and then. Since I got a new job, I've been busy. :rainbowderp: I wish I had a lot of time to work on my fanfics! :twilightsheepish:

4154602 Yeah thanks for commenting.

4157643 Yeah, thanks. However, no one has to do this anymore. I cleaned up what had to already. Thanks for commenting.^^

4154501 you might need to work on something if it's actually meaning that much to you

4158487 Actually.. To be honest I didn't need to make this blog. I could have done this myself now looking back at it. I wouldn't have unfollowed any of you guys anyhow because you guys were active. I already unfollowed people that haven't been active for over a year. Which was over two thousand people that I followed.

I'm not gonna purge my followers because I thought about it and thought that would be thoughtless to consider especially since most of you haven't unfollowed me after being away all this time. Now that my following count has reduced I could actually leave comments on other blogs again which is definitely a plus for me.^^

So now as to why this blog was post? I have no idea knowing I could have done it without posting the blog. :P

Now I'm planning on doing a sketch series.... guess that could be discussed in a new blog.

4158535 ok, just remember and try not to be so worried about followers bruh. the love is good, but it's not everything

4158547 Yeah, I feel that's something I could be reminded of from time to time.

4158549 well just saying that is a good start:twilightsmile:

guessing you're still following me

4231577 How was this blog picked out of all the others? O.o

No, I wasn't following you, but that isn't because I unfollowed you. I followed you along with lots of others and apparently it failed to keep your follow. I think the mods had stopped the whole mass following for some reason. In fact, when I made this thread I didn't see your name among those that had been inactive for more than a year.

4231730 Title caught my eye

4232135 Makes sense... I wonder if I could get eye catching titles in future blogs.:trixieshiftleft:

4232867 I'm sure you could/have
