I have created a monster.
Someone, I forget who, gave me some advice while I was writing this story that I now regret taking. It was something along the lines of "Make 'em really suffer", but I didn't want to put the extra work into a story that I had already put far too much work into. (Three drafts for a shitfic? My word.) But maybe it wouldn't have had this much staying power if I had. I can't remember the last time I was actually in the featured box, in the top no less, for more than a day, and it looks like I'm going to be riding this one to the end. :B
I really did myself a disservice by promoting the Twilestia aspect of this story, anyway. This was just supposed to be a goofy fic that poked fun at the fandom's obsession with stories about drinking tea and playing chess. All that serious-sounding stuff in the middle? Utter pablum, pulled from my ass in the moment. I went with whatever sounded the best. It just so happened that shipping was the most logical conclusion for said story, and I thought I'd make a statement. Too bad that statement seems to have been lost in the ether. :B
So if you've read, favorited, or followed in the past few days, I thank you. If you're here for Twilestia, you'd better turn right back around, mister, because that I ain't havin' that shit.

No, you create a monster when three fics that either satirize, parody, or deconstruct your fic are featured at the same time, and a relatively successful and popular author has a massive blow-out and quits the site when he's accused of plagiarizing your shit.

I just double checked and according to the Foal Free Press, I was actually mistaken and the offender in question rage quit after being accused of plagiarizing a different fic, it was just all happening at the same time. Someone apparently had told me the story wrong.

As someone who's a fan of putting vulgar stupidity and somewhat thoughtful/heartwarming in the same room squished up next to each other, I really enjoyed your fic for all of it. I'm sorry it caused you that much stress.

The radio show was of course live so I do not have a recording of that but... wait, perhaps I can re-assemble it. I do have the introduction to the programme recorded because I thought I might want to use bits of it later, so here that bit is. My programme "The Spoken Equestria" plays each Sunday Afternoon at 5PM Eastern (shameless plug). After the into I proceeded to play: "Would it Matter if I Was?" by GaPJaxie, "Do it Mattered if I is?" by KitsuneRisu, "What if I told You There Was a Changeling in the Basement of Carousel Boutique?" by Hoopy McGee (Damn there are some heavy hitters in all of this). And lastly my little poem "Dead Horse" I think stuff like this needs to be celebrated.
