New Moonfic Chapter · 11:02am May 24th, 2016
So I finished the chapter tonight. According to Google, it's in the 15,000 words range, after cutting and rewriting a few scenes. It'll be sent to the pre-readers and editors tomorrow. Or maybe the day after if I realize I've missed a scene somewhere. It's rather easy for them to get lost in the fifty pages or so. Hrrm.
On that note, in the buildup towards publishing it, I'd like to offer a form of apology. I will admit, I've been writing less blog posts because I've been feeling guilty about not having the chapter done, and words that I spent on the blog could have been words spent on the story.
Of course, that's not remotely how writing works, but it is how anxiety works!
So here's the apology...
Ask me anything.
I'll try to answer as many as I can, but not as truthfully as I can. I'm taking a page out of Ariamaki's book I always found fantastic: When the final edition of this prompt comes out, I'll give a running tally of how many are true, and how many are lies, and it'll be up to you to figure it out. That gives me the freedom to talk about parts of the story I find interesting without it being a guaranteed spoiler. And if it's too much of a spoiler, I reserve the right to dodge it in an amusing manner, just to frustrate you.
Hey, I never said I wasn't going to have fun with this too.
Now, this AMA doesn't have to be related to Mare Who Once Lived on the Moon. It can be about any of my stories, me personally -- I still reserve the right to dodge those like a bad US made truck -- anything!
So, PM me or leave your comments below.
What do you consider your magnum opus?
What's your favorite color? This is a very serious question.
I don't have any questions but am excited about the chapter!
If you could either run at 100 hundred miles per hour or fly at 1 mile per hour, which would you choose?

A waste of an egg nog potential.
An angry vegan.
Something that was so close to being great with French toast.
This is an example of me dodging a dumb question, for reference to future commenters. A good ama question is not one I could cheat by googling.
Unless it's really funny of course.
Ask you anything? Hmmmm......
What are your three sizesHow's Equestria handling the pollution in the Mare Who Once Lived on the Moon? Cloudsdale is in the charge of the weather (or something like that), so how do they handle all that smoke from power plants and factories? Or do they just delegate it to the local weather patrols and leave as it is?
A second one: The Demesne of ...too long name to write comfortably. Where did you get the idea? Were you playing Crusader Kings, or did you read/heard the about it in school or some book?
And a third one: Where did the "Sciencey things" disappear from your avatar?
--edit--
Almost forgot, Batpones! In any one of your major fics even if they will never appear, do you consider them a different race, or just some enchanted look for pegasi?

Guess i'm sorry about that. late night comment should be double checked before posting

Sorry, didn't mean to be harsh about it. I am also on verge of sleep and losing ability to coherent. It was a very thought out question, but it's just a good example of the kind of question I'm looking to avoid? because it comes down to the question asker wanting to draw more attention to their ability to ask something hard than a question that is genuinely interesting to me to answer, and to an audience to have answered.
Well, in your moonfic unicorns only have very little magic, barely enough for basic levitation. Has it always been that way or are there - potentially truer than they think - stories about powerful unicorn wizards? And if it's the former, was Starswirl The Bearded a master engineer or something?
3968168 Nop Nop, no problem, tell you, I understand. It annoy me when people do that too. I misjudged the purpose of this blog.
Well, good night/day, or whatever it is depending on where you are.
Just wanted to pop in and mention:
I am uncomfortably familiar with this feeling. So, I guess my question is... Anything I can do to help? Pre-reading, bouncing ideas around, or anything along those lines? I've been running into massive, nigh-unbreakable blocks myself. Perhaps helping someone else get past their obstacles will provide the inertia I need to break my own.
Tell me of your home world. Usul.
When the fuck you gonna start reading/following me, you cripplepuss
How many fights have you gotten into?
Apology accepted, and thanks for the update. :)
...Erm. Hm. Unfortunately, the only question for you I seem to be thinking of at the moment is... does Moonfic Equestria use Brunel gauge? Oh, and what about Equestrias in your other stories?
(Yes, I know I think about odd things at times...)
My daughter is trying to climb onto the TV stand, appearently in an attempt to enter Equestria. Any advice? What should she pack? (Currently she seems to be taking a gold Daring Do figure and the back of the TV remote.)
I am aware that you have been in contact with Aragon, and considering the various thing he writes, blogs and the occasional replies and all of the implication that implies, I always wonder:
How do you ever manage to handle that sort of a hurricane in a bottle-sized human in a conversation?
Also, will I need to worry for my sanity if you did answer that?
Where did you get the art for your avatar?
US trucks are not a good thing to base your dodging abilities on. Not even a little. (Yes I know it was a reference to Dodge trucks, but I am pretty sure they are named ironically.)
Why do you think you'd be a good fit for this company? Where do you see yourself in ten years?
Who is your horse waifu?
Who is your horsefic senpai?
Who is your IRL senpai (that isn't Pratchett, because that one is obvious)?
What is your favorite Mel Brooks movie?
And how is the progress coming on the next chapter of Demesne?
Boxers, briefs, or commando?
Why the name MrNumbers?
Just thank you. I always get flashes to this story. Its a really nice story and I am very glad to have givin it a read. It always hurts to know it takes alot of time for updates but thats okay. I love pons. *gives hugs to you in thanks* My only question is do you like making science.
